Is your Xbox Live laggy?

I'm just curious how widespread this problem is. My shit is so laggy and sluggish it's a fucking joke. And I'm not talking about online gaming, I'm strictly referring to menus and guide functions.

Fucking NXE.

It really pissed me off a few minutes ago as I was playing 1 vs 100. I tried to send a party invite and it took me at least thirty seconds to back out of the guide, causing me me completely miss a question.

maybe those who picked laggy need to turn off the cpu when they play and upgrade to a better service b/c their is no lag on xbl except if you have a shitty connection

Just like any computer, whenever you try to do too many commands on it, it's going to lag. Playing games takes up a lot of the memory, and then trying to open up your windows in that is going to take time. You make the same fucking thread every few months. How have you not figured out that you're the one causing the problem, and it's not NXE.

I should've titled this different, and let me reiterate. I'm not having a problem with ONLINE GAMING, I have a problem with the Xbox GUIDE FEATURES. Every time I press the guide button to do anything, whether it be checking my friends list, send out a party invite/message, etc. it's a laggy fucking mess. It's been like this since the NXE.

I can't believe I'm the only one here. From what I understand it's a pretty widespread problme. I've been listening to a ton of gaming podcasts recently and they all mention having the same problem. CheapyD from CAG described it as "A laggy piece of shit ever since NXE."

I don't think this is related to my connection at all.

yeah i have that problem but it isnt really that bad it just freezes up for a couple of seconds

Its not your connection , the guide/menu system is slow.

Its a widespread problem. Particularly in game when trying to go to or revert from the game menu to the guide. I havent read up on it much but I do wonder if HDD installed games has anything to do with it.
When im playing UFC or /GOW2 I have a shit fest of a time sending a message out or getting back to the game after listening to one.
My connection up until recently was 20/2 so it wasnt connection its GUI based.

end of April was the last one. I noticed it today when i was searching for the PSN Arcade thread. And there it was, twiggs NXE rant......lol

That's when a majority of the problems happen for people. Just like a computer, you can't open windows and expect them to pop up with no problem when you're running other programs at the same time.
