Is your Xbox Live laggy?

Just like any computer, whenever you try to do too many commands on it, it's going to lag. Playing games takes up a lot of the memory, and then trying to open up your windows in that is going to take time. You make the same fucking thread every few months. How have you not figured out that you're the one causing the problem, and it's not NXE.

Its not your connection , the guide/menu system is slow.

Its a widespread problem. Particularly in game when trying to go to or revert from the game menu to the guide. I havent read up on it much but I do wonder if HDD installed games has anything to do with it.
When im playing UFC or /GOW2 I have a shit fest of a time sending a message out or getting back to the game after listening to one.
My connection up until recently was 20/2 so it wasnt connection its GUI based.

Whenever I try to "do too many things"? So apparently using the guide button as it was intended is just too much, eh? It's funny how I never had this problem with the old dashboard setup. And I make the "same fucking thread every month" because it's a joke that this shit hasn't been fixed.

I guess it's weird that I expect shit to work as advertised, especially when I'm paying for the service...and even more so because I was forced to download this NXE garbage.

Five seconds is one thing. But it's bullshit when the latency/lag actually effects the experience. One of the biggest features of Live is being able to join up with friends and chat/invite to games. But when you do this and it takes 30 seconds or more to back out of the screen it's a joke.

I was playing RF online the other day and made the crucial mistake of trying to accept my buddies chat request while I was in-game. I should have had plenty of time to accept the request while I was respawning but instead I got killed three more times waiting for the guide to stop hanging up and back out.

My point is that this is a known and widespread problem. The NXE has been out for how long and this hasn't been addressed? I was just trying to gauge how many people here had the same problem and what similarities those people had to see if there was some solution to the problem. But if you don't have anything positive to add why come in here acting like a douche?

It's also kind of hard to cancel my subscription when I prepaid for three years in advance with cards prior to the NXE releasing. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that MS won't refund that money of course so I'm stuck.

Maybe the update they are releasing today will fix the problem.

sometimes is gets stuck but it doesn't really bother me. I rarely notice it.

Well, the "scheduled maintenance" the other day didn't change things.

Like I said, if I'm playing a single player game, like I mostly do, it's just a small annoyance. But it really blows if I'm in the middle of some multiplayer and I'm trying to accept a chat invite or invite a friend to the game. The shit basically completely locks up for a minute.

I heard on a podcast that MS said that they plan on fixing this problem in the next big update.

yeah but its not just that which caused it. it happened to me a couple times before they ever upgraded. shit just happens for whatever reason. i havent noticed it in a loooong time but i have a buddy whose guide functionns are laggy as shit now.

That's the weird thing. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to who has issues and who doesn't.
