It's a dumb thing to debate (which is why I alluded to this being a topic for Herp and Derp on ESPN2). There's no wrong answer and there never has been. They've both had wildly successful Hall of Fame careers. They were both the best at their position when they were in their primes and they are both still showing that they are solid quarterbacks. The numbers you posted are practically identical.

You can only play who's on the schedule.. Manning went for 330 against the Texans too who are a top 10 pass D.

My point was what happened in the H2H matchup was pretty much moot because there was no way Denver was winning that game no matter who was under center that day.

If you're not in this forum for sports discussion why are you here? I'm never looking for right or wrong answers, just opinions. If you have one and I have one and we disagree we can have a discussion about it. At the end no one has to be right or wrong.

That's a valid point and something I hadn't really thought about.

I know that if anything happens to Manning this season Denver has the ability to wipe the rest of that contract off the books but I don't know how it works out going forward.

I think if push came to shove though and it meant the difference between his team being competitive or not Manning would re-structure his deal much like Brady did though. He didn't come to Denver because we offered him the most money in the fist place so I don't see why it would be and end all situation for him as the years progress.

How do you restructure that deal tho? Pay him 25+M...as he gets older?

A colts fan in the know would have to chime in, but I don't get the impression he's willing to give up 10's of Millions and moving money around doesn't seem feasible.

That's another thing I have no idea about and you could very well be right. I'm not going to begin to act like I understand the CBA or the NFL cap structure. :nope:

I WILL say that Tom Brady has not been good at all in recent must score drives, but the man built his entire reputation on being 'Tom Cool' and never giving up.

I've never seen Tom Brady lose his cool in a crunch time situation, and I'm pretty confident the only thing you are referring to is when he looks for a flag (specifically the Ravens game where he got one), which every NFL QB does.

I never really choose between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, because it's pretty impossible to make a case for one being better than the other. Peyton has surprised me this year; I thought he had no arm strength, and his throws have been wobbly, but they have gotten there when he needs to get them there.

Trying to choose one over the other would either be a case of homerism (Glen), or an obvious disliking (rams) for the player.

Sidenote: its really strange seeing Denvers offense transform from run run run run run run pray. To pass happy under manning. I dont think their as physically dominant , and for some reason have held on to the magical inability to score until theyve given up 17 points.
