Pretty much agree with Woy here. Sometimes you have to make a change if for nothing else than to get a fresh start in there and new ideas, new voices, etc.

It can either work (Indy replacing Mora with Dungy for example), or bomb horribly (Seattle running out Holmgren for Jim Mora Jr, Denver with Josh Daniels.. and so on) but sometimes change isn't bad.

I was at the game, Vince Young got his pussy bruised and was mad when Fisher wouldnt put him back in with purple labia. He cried himself to the locker room when the fans were booing him for overthrowing receivers like he was trying to throw the game.

It seemed obvious something was wrong before halftime when guys were wide open and he was sailing passes 5 feet over their heads. Fans boo not even at him, just typical fan boos when teams dont score before half and punt and he provokes the fans to boo more as he's leaving the field. Im so spoiled by watching games on tv that when guys are hurt or even some penalties its so loud that nobody knows what is going on.


I still have no clue why the Moss td was called back. The crowd was too loud with the boos i couldnt understand the ref. Was it offensive PI or holding?

Rusty Smith didnt have a problem throwing to him, Randy Moss had Deangelo Hall burnt probably 10 times and VY threw to Washington and Scaife every time. Rusty Smith found moss on a td in double coverage, VY refused to throw to Moss when the safety never helped because he knew Moss was worthless with VY in the game.


Vy acted like Moss wasnt on the field, Rusty Smith gets in the game and suddenly Moss is getting the ball. We all know VY is going to get the ball to his texas boys Ahmard Hall and Bo Scaife any chance he gets. VY IS A BETTER QB THAN RUSTY SMITH, im not going too crazy here.



I will say that Randy Moss is a half ass player if ive ever saw one though. He shows zero effort on run plays .

Oh, and add Justin Gage to that list of players Fisher favors to over the others on the roster. Gage has been decent as a Titan, but Damian Williams and Lavelle Hawkins are better options out there than him.

Gage isnt a big threat in the passing game but NO receiver on the roster besides maybe a healthy Britt is better in run blocking. Damian Williams and Lavelle Hawkins probably are better receiving options thats true.

Next year i expect Gage to be gone and Damian Williams to be playing alot in this offense. Lavelle has had his chances year after year to make something happen. I like him but i wont be surprised if he didnt make the team next year. Britt, Washington, Williams, Mariani are all locks to make the team at WR next year.


Fisher has let rookie WRs play more the past two years, Britt and Damian Williams, then any had in the last 10 years or so going back to Dyson.






Im the opposite of you in some senses Woy i'd tend to side with Fish over VY, but i want to see VY be the franchise player. He shows flashes of greatness but his attitude and tendency for turnovers drive me insane.


If VY has season ending surgery and Rusty Smith is the starter and Collins is hurt as well the titans are in serious trouble. The titans let Ramsey go to another team recently. There isnt even another qb thats been with the team over two weeks that i know of.

From what I've seen, the Titans offense lacks any type of creativity and Young is an average QB at best. He's a game manager and nothing more. The only reason he was ever considered a good QB was because he had potential as a dual threat QB, but, he's not a dual threat QB and his arm is average.

They don't use CJ right, either. Not enough draws and screens to him. They run him like a power back, constantly running power sets instead of getting him the ball in space. No tosses, no draws, no screens, and virtually non existent in the passing game.

True, honestly ive had a busy day and just saw VY's stat line which was like 15-19 or something which is actually great. That last drive before the half must've been where he had 3 of those 4 incompletions because the ball was just sailing on him and thats when the boos started. I dont understand fickle fans and the boos honestly. most fans think every drive under 2:00 that doesnt score is the coaches playing super conservative, but they were actually throwing the ball.


VY did have great chemistry with Nate Washington today, its a damn shame if VY doesnt play again this year. Hall taking Moss all day allowed Nate Washington to abuse Buchanon. I dont think ive saw a receiver and qb so in sync since McNair and Mason around here. Kenny Britt and Kerry Collins had a good game a few weeks back but that was more Britt making spectacular plays.





Im not a VY Hater. I bought the VY jersey when he became the starter. Its crazy to me how he can be so efficient yet give up that turnover that just kills momentum. Rusty Smith's horrible overthrow INT made me LOL.

Completely agree. But even on obvious passing situations, it seems like he's been favoring Gage over D-Will and Hawk.

Also completely agree with this. For once, I actually love all our young receivers (haven't been able to say that with guys like Roydell Williams/Tyrone Calico/Paul Williams/etc.) and Washington hasn't dropped any big passes this year, but he does look for the PI flag after getting touched a lot. I think Hawk could be a good slot guy for us, but I also can see him being cut.

I think his attitude doesn't drive me as insane as most Titans fans, because I can see why he's upset if he continues to have these arguments with Fish. It's frustrating to play for a coach who doesn't want you playing in the first place, IMO.

If Rusty is the starter for the rest of the season, it's over. In fact, if Vince is put on IR (wouldn't be shocked), then I want to see Rusty start the rest of the year just to see what he's got. Like I said, I love Vince and will always be a fan of him, but if we can land an Andrew Luck in the first round next year, I wouldn't mind a change. I'll still support Vince whether he goes, but I'm a Titans fan through and through.

Oh, and I heard that Reinfeldt already called Chris Simms facepalm and he should be a Titan again Monday. Simms better not see the field unless Rusty and Collins aren't able to.

They probably ran 3 or 4 tosses today. The staple of a Jeff Fisher team is draws on 3rd and infinity. CJ made some huge plays from that situation last year, this year defenses are keying on him.

Cj only had 97 receiving yards going into the game today and that is unacceptable. Nobody in the league is more deadly on a slip screen.


I would like to see more stuff to the outside as well. i will say that the majority of Johnson's big runs have been where he finds a hole and puts on the burners while against 8 or 9 in the box .

I dont think CJ has lost a step i just think its tougher for him to find any holes when defenses are priding themselves on shutting down a 2000 yard rusher. Losing Kevin Mawae hurt more than anyone in the titans front office could have imagined.


If any of TN's qbs could throw downfield consistently this year the offense would be even better.

Right now I don't have a set guy, but I'm leaning towards Rob Ryan. But I'm just tired of the same 'ol shit and am willing to take the risk. Some of these losses this year make me feel like I'm suffering through the 04-05 Titans again.

I can't remember where I saw it, but he suffered a hip injury during his first few seasons that really affected his mobility; hence why he's not running like the '06 version of VY anymore.

As for his arm, I think his short to intermediate game could use some work, but his deep arm is pretty damn good, IMO.

I don't know what it is, but our screen game has been garbage this season. As for the draw plays, that's one positive I can note from today; that draw out of the shotgun that had CJ wrap around on a mis-direction was really nice and it worked every time.

Yeah, that's one thing I've noticed since Vince became the starter again...him and Washington are great together. Hopefully if he gets another shot, he finds that same chemistry with Britt, which I think he was actually (remember that he had touchdowns in three straight games with VY under center).

At that point, it wasn't if we were going to lose the game to me, it was when. However, one thing I did like out of Rusty was that he wasn't afraid to throw it...whether it was the right decision most of the time, well...lol.
