As crazy as it sounds...
I wonder if John Elway subconsciously worries about Tebow becoming another Broncos' QB legend and is doing everything he can to throw him under the bus before that happens.
Maybe I'm insane (ok, not maybe) ... but there's something awfully fishy about this. I can understand Fox naming Orton his #1 QB in February if Orton were a proven QB with many years in Denver, but he's not.
I have zero issue with Orton being #1 on the depth chart, he's the veteran. But Orton does not have the seniority or accomplishments to be a lock in February. Like most players, he has to earn his job.
This is just strange.
If I were the Buffalo Bills, I'd immediately call Denver and offer the 2nd and 6th round picks to Elway for Tim Tebow.
OK, Tebow doesn't have the typical NFL skillset at QB, but the guy has something special ... sorry, hate to say it, but the "it" factor. And he won't be a character question the way Cam Newton might be (sorry, but saying you want to be an entertainment icon makes me wonder). I know Rayman, I'm a fucking racist, I burn black guys on a cross in my backyard.
But if I'm investing heavily in a quarterback, I want impeccable character traits.
The Bills are my AFC team and I truly wanted them to take Newton ... then I heard about that interview and immediately changed my mind. The Bills should immediately call Denver.
