Most old guys lose their shooting legs anyway.
Jordan would get those 20 points on smarts and slashing.
Oh, and fucking will to win. Something 90% of today's NBA players wouldn't know about if it smacked them in the face.
If Jordan played in his prime with today's rules, he'd average 50 ppg easily.
He played against the Knicks and Pistons who were tough motherfuckers who didn't deal with today's Harlem Globetrotter rules.
Yes he would lose his shooting legs, limiting him to slashing.
He wouldn't be able to slash if he was being guarded well.
The NBA is full of athletes. They can keep up with him.
NO SHIT about the prime, but were not talking about prime. Were talking about 47 year old Jordan vs 23 year old athletic machine.
Yeah and he did that not even caring any more.
He knew the Wizards sucked, he was just trying to sell tickets.
Imagine Jordan, even know, motivated and in shape and not just out there to sell tickets. He could still get it done against today's lazy fucks.
I am not saying Jordan at 48 playing for the Wizards. I am saying Jordan, motivated, playing for a good team ... with no incentive but to win and show today's players how it's done.
Obviously he wouldn't be a top 10 player, but I'd be stunned if he wouldn't be at least top 25.
If he didn't care then, why care now?
8 years later, still unmotivated and still unable to shoot or slash.
Lazy fucks? The NBA is less about shooters and more about athletes, people who can run, sprint, and lift.
If Jordan is on a team playing to win, playing to win it all, he's coming off the bench. The only "pretender" that could use him is, ironically, the Bulls. They don't need him to shoot or slash, just to put in 10ppg and defend well in 20-25 minutes of play. Any longer and he'll become a liability from not being fast enough to keep up.
