Tom Terrific is no longer young enough to do it without help. If Wilfork, Gronk, Hernandez, Mayo, etc are playing in that game the Broncos would have had a game on their hands. Didn't hurt that the Broncos are one of the healthiest teams in the playoffs.

We lost both our best tackle, best pass rusher, two best run stuffing d-lineman, best nickel corner, two centers and starting free safety.

Not to mention playing stretches without Julius Thomas, DRC, Champ Bailey, Orlando Franklin and Wes Welker.

As we discuss Tom I would like to point out that this clearly shows that one man doesn't win a championship not matter how good he is. Superbowls are won by teams. It is damn hard to win in the NFL.

2 superbowl losses having the significantly better team ,and multiple Championship game losses while almost always having the better team.
He fits perfectly with guys like Favre etc on the next tier.
Unlike Manning who was always a dominant QB , Bradys impressive years dont begin until after the rule changes.

As for Marino pretty unanimously the best pure passer to ever play the position. Much like Gale Sayers when a guy establishes himself as the best "pure" guy at his position and puts up the individual accolades to back it up its too difficult to take that away. Im not going to punch a guy for putting Sayers in there top 5 and I think Marinos case is better.





If that dope doesnt allow Flacco that stupid hail mary Manning is likely going for b2b superbowls on this second team. If Adam Vinitieri is Matt Bahr Brady is an also ran. If Matt Bahr is Adam Viniteri Jim Kelly may be No1 or 2 on this list.

No he was not. He led the league with a pedestrian 28 tds never led in anything else until rule changes . Brady was never the catalyst and asked to win games the way he was in his later years or the way those other guys did there whole careers. Not throwing INTs and setting up FGs against teams you have illegal footage of is the definition of role playing.
Going into a game knowing you are going to be the difference between winning and losing didn't come about until much later and he hasnt won it since despite having superior teams.

Marino was lighting up the NFL from the get go setting all time records from the minute he got into the league. Most accurate arm and best pure passer ever. I know hes a post season flop but before I even get to the post season you have to impress me with individual efforts performances and feats in the regular season. Brady just doesnt do it for me when hes the biggest beneficiary of the no touch em league.

I never said it was the same. He was asked to win games for the Patriots. 2001 season he had 5 game winning drives. 2003 he had 7 game winning drives. In those 2 seasons 12 of their 25 wins came on the arm of Tom Brady on the final drive.

Brady was #6 in the league in yards, #1 in TDs in 02, his second year as a starter, #6 again in yards, 10 in TDs in 03, 10 in yards, 6 in TDs, #1 in yards in 05, #3 in TDs.

Top 10 statistical QB in football (I'd say Top 5 during that stretch cumulative) from the minute he stepped foot on the field. That isn't a role player under anyone's definition. Couple it with 8 fourth quarter comebacks and 16 game winning drives from 02-05 (only Peyton Manning had more during that time period) and an UNRIVALED playoff performer on an all-time scale during this era, you have just about gone full retard to say he was a role player.

Marino couldn't get it done when it mattered...fin. No QB in the history of the game has more empty playoff statistics and he already had a shitty playoff performance to begin with, but the statistics he DID accumulate came during time no one gave a fuck about.

Brady > Marino, and it ain't even close. They aren't even playing the same sport.
