Madden 25 "Post-Release" Impressions

I should point out this really only applies to man-coverage. This penalty slider adjusts how aggressive the DB's are, switching this to 100 makes them as less aggressive as possible. Messing with this slider does nothing to change how often the penalty is called.

So penalty sliders affect things outside of penalties and don't affect penalties at all? All I can do is LOL at that.

Still fighting with sliders to offset the overpowered offense (or underpowered defense). Getting closer but not quite there yet. As much as I HATE the XP system, I might have to put M12 down and stay with M25. Still have M12 installed.

I've finally had it with the repetitive commentary. Turned it off today and will not turn it on again. Crowd noise, stadium broadcaster and on-field noise ... That's it! I'm so sick of Simms and Nantz saying the same damn lines every game and being utterly fucking clueless about what's actually happening in the damn game.

There's a ton of free software out there to stream the sound from your computer to the 360, I'm sure with the PS3 too. I play spotify throughout most games I play.

Edit: thought about it again. LOL. I have Apple AirPlay on my Pc setup to play on my home stereo. It also works with my iPad. Frankly, right now my desktop pc is in the shop and everything I'm doing right now is on my iPad. I have iTunes Match, so my entire music library is in the cloud anyway and I'm simply streaming music to the home stereo right now. I'll give my iPad this ... Before it, if my Pc Was in the shop and I had no Internet access, I'd go insane ... Ok, more insane. That said, can't wait to get my desktop pc back. I miss my 24-inch ... Monitor and a real keyboard.

I forget what program I use, but it basically uses the 360 as a wireless sound system. The program is connected with the sound card of the computer and inputs it to your 360 over Wifi.

I get the feeling that SuperSim doesn't run the clock in between plays, so you get way to many plays being run and that's what scews the SuperSim stats. Just my guess. It does make SuperSim useless unless you run a short quarter with no accelerated clock. Anybody know if this is true or not?

i had no plans on getting this game, but if enough buzz was going on around here it might have made me pick it up.

as it stands, my buddy who is the manager of a local pawn shop is going to give me one of the copies that comes in, only cause he and i have for the past 9 years have been playing a franchise together, and cause he twisted my arm into accepting a free game. he's of course taking the first one that comes in though haha

Both leagues just finished up the Madden 13 cycle in July and are picking right back up in the next week or so with Madden 25. Most others will probably play 1 or 2 months max because playing against the CPU is boring. If you want some real comments and impressions on the game, check out the TGT/220 chatbox or ask some of the league members. Otherwise you're gonna get the same people shitting on Madden regardless of whether it plays well or not.

I could be wrong but I remember there being a lot more buzz about the game around the forums last year compared to this season.

I haven't picked madden up and really have no plans on it currently and that's mainly because I don't have the time commitment to leagues like I did last year. IMO the only reason I played madden into Feb last year was because most leagues were fairly active and I could ignore the glaring gameplay problems. I'm a huge offline guy because of my odd work schedule and I enjoyed an offline franchise of 12+ years in one file before I got sick of things and had to give it up.

Noticed they forgot to add some of the uniform options they show you when you relocate. My roommate relocated to Portland as the Lumberjacks and the uniforms he chose were awesome, they had two different helmets but when we got to the next season the helmets didn't show up to use.
