It has nothing to do with companies saying eh its another $5 and has more to do with the economy.

New games in Canada all went up $10 this past year thanks to the economy and most expect it to go up a bit more again as our min. wage is about to go up again. My NHL 10 was almost 80 bucks this year thanks to that bullshit.

Nothing but myth. Sharing your login became a no-no per the 2.0 firmware licensing agreement. Find me a link that says that agreement is no longer valid. And I dont mean some teenager on a messageboard somewhere.

Sharing is encouraged for people with multiple consoles, not so that one person can download and several people can get it for free.

The thing with PSN games is that you are technically buying five (or now I hear it may have been pared down to 3) keys to the game. You don't really own it. You can just unlock it 3 to 5 times. Plus either way someone is buying it, whereas with pirating someone is downloading a torrent somewhere and burning it to a disc.

That was before the system was even released, so obviously before the 2.0 firmware. Its stealing, you know it. Even if Sony said it was ok (which makes ZERO SENSE) I highly doubt the developers would be ok with getting one sale, but 5 people enjoying the game.

You have to be kidding me. First of all, you are allowed to recover your game 5 times. You arent buying 5 unlocks of the game. Explain to me why they are the same price on the PS3 and the 360 then? If you are buying 5 of them, logic would say it should be more expensive than one. The difference is, MS has the downloads locked to the console, not just the user name. Since Sony made them locked to the name, it made it easy for pirates to share the game with friends.

Where do you think pirated games come from? You think the game fairy puts them on websites? No. Someone buys the game, and shares it with people on the site. Save your excuses. You are so quick to pass judgment on others for stealing games, but when its you, theres b.s. excuses galore. Just accept it.

Nobody is perfect. I'm definitely not. But stealing from someone's house and stealing a game is no different.

You're stealing. Point blank. Cop or not I think you're a piece of trash. I work to make money to buy my games. If you feel comfortable stealing games, good for you. It will catch up to you eventually.

Either way, I can see your point of view and it definitely makes sense. All I know is that the king of all things Sony said it was fine way back when. I have a group of very close friends that we share games together. I've definitely bought my fair share. I think I've purchased 35+ PSN games? Because they leak. When MW2 was released on the site I used, the guy who first shared it posted a pic of him holding the case smiling before he uploaded it. Once games are shipped, they leak and people upload them.

My view is just echoing what you said. Its stealing. Just because you found a way to justify it to yourself doesnt make it anything different.

I just really caught this, but if you bought 35+ games, and allowed 5 friends to have them for free, thats aiding and abetting isnt it? I mean, it IS stealing, and it doesnt really matter how much each game is. Besides, Im sure if you have paid for 35+, you have a ton that you havent paid for. Theft is theft. Or does it not count when its several $15 thefts?

You said yourself that you should only play games that you can pay for. You obviously arent following your own advice. Id just love you to stop making excuses and admit you are doing the same thing that anyone else does when they steal games. Doesnt matter if its a game you download using a friends info, or a game you download off of a site and burn. It doesnt matter if its a $15 game or a $60 game. Either way you are getting something without paying for it. Therefore its stealing, and you know it. Cut the bullshit.

I think 15 bucks is too much for this game. Its fun and all but its not 15$ fun. I think between 4-7 would have been a good price.

Am I the only one that thinks this game is pretty hard? Even on Rookie using a team like the Colts the CPU still makes play after play.

Plus it seems causing fumbles and INT's is tougher in this game than regular Madden.

I think that the reason the price of Arcade games has gone up is because the quality has too. Twigg, the $5 standard you're referring to were for crap games like Paperboy (which I still regret buying). Games like Shadow Complex and Madden Arcade are bound to be $15 just because of their higher production quality alone. Add in the depth that games like SC have, and you probably have to sell them for $15 to make a profit.
