Give me a break. See, this is one of the things that kills me about Microsofts "marketing strategy" in this generation. It's not bad enough that they are trying to fuck people with their carnival ticket pricing systme but then they try to act like they never meant to confuse anyone with it. Really?

If you weren't trying to take advantage of people or confuse them then why didn't you, of I don't know, JUST USE ACTUALLY DOLLAR AMOUNTS?!?

I know MS is in it to make money and I respect that. I just think that they way they go about it sometimes is just plain, for lack of a better term, grimey.

Like riley said.......80 pts = $1.00 Pretty simple math IMO.

Therefore any game that is 400 points is $5 and 800 points is $10. EASY PEASY!

I got it, I just hated it. An annoying extra step, plus I never bought a ton of stuff, so I always had some reject points laying around. Nothing like having 700 points and wanting to get 800 point maps and having to buy $12 worth of points.

If your a retard who can't do basic math then sure thats misleading but hey if you can't figure that out how the hell are you able to turn the xbox on to begin with.

The whole point of points was to standardize everything which to some extent it does.

Quick example (this would be last year when our canadian dollar was shit)

400 points costs americans $5.

400 points costs canadian cost around 7 or 8 bucks.

I also can't go across the boarder and buy an american points card and have it work on my canadian xbox and vice a versa. Live cards are the same thing. It simply won't work.

Why did they do this. To standardize everything and make it easier for everyone to say it will cost 400 or 800 points instead of putting different prices on everything because you live in different parts of the world.

leftover points you cant do anything with is lame. happens on 360 and ps3 but ive had it happen to me more on 360.
