Several reasons.

The two versions are about as identical as you can get in terms of graphics. PS3 has advantages with some things like shadows and such where the 360 has slightly better color on spots. But it's so negligible on both you literally need a magnifying glass. The PS3 version does have V-sync on at all times so there is zero screen tearing. The 360 version does not have it on at all times so there can be noticeable tearing. So there isn't any clear advantage in this regard like there was with other, like LA Noire being better on PS3, Red Dead being better on 360, etc.

The PS3 version is on ONE disc and the 360 version is on TWO. Yes, it's only one swap throughout the probably twelve hour campaign. But let's say I'm in the second half of the campaign but I'm intermittently playing multiplayer with my friends, as I have been doing just that the past several days. I would constantly have to swap discs so fuck that noise.

I know my personal preference is the PS3 controller for third person games. I much prefer the 360 control for FPS's but I'll take the PS3 controller for third person any day. Just my opinion.

Lastly, most people associate this series with the PlayStation brand, and again playing the games with a PlayStation controller. You could probably say this for any Rockstar game, as Med had posted many pages ago "It's a Rockstar game, of course you have to go PS3" or something to that effect. I know when I initially bought GTA4 for the 360 it felt weird to me. I went with it because at the time the DLC was only supposed to be on 360 and I'm a huge GTA fan so I couldn't pass it up. Plus the PS3 still don't have it;s trophy system implemented yet and we all know how much I love cheevos.

So, ultimately I would respond to your question with I don't know why anyone would go 360 unless that's the only console they have? The only way I was going with the 360 version was if there was some kind of significant advantage, which there are none.

I experienced my first egregious lag/glitch issue today playing Payne Killer. As Payne, I emptied about two quarter magazines of uzi fire and about four melees on a guy only to have him casually shoot me in the face while I reloaded. :(

My OG 20 Gig (swapped in a 120 gb HD) still runs as well as it has been since day one. Had that shit on for the whole weekend forgetting to turn it off and its still ticking :smugruss: *knocks on wood*

Man, this campaign is getting better and better. I don't know why I ever doubted this game. The visuals are stunning and the story is top notch. Couple that with shooting fuckers in the face in slow mo and you have gaming gold.
 
Take-Two Interactive recently revealed the first week sales data for Max Payne 3.

Take-Two has recently revealed that Max Payne 3 has Shipped over 6 million copies and has also sold over 3 million copies during it's first week on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in their latest earnings report.

These numbers are sure to rise over the coming weeks especially when the PC version of Max Payne 3 hits on June 1, 2012.

Story in this is badass. This is one of the few games this generation that has gripped me mainly due to the story. It's hard not to feel somewhat bad for Max, and I actually got a little upset when
 
Fabiana was killed. Shit was fucked up, man... although I guess I could see it coming.
The presentation makes me feel like I'm playing one long, drawn-out action movie.

Kudos to Rockstar for pushing out another great game. Speaking of Rockstar, have they published any duds this generation? I honestly cannot recall them putting out any garbage.
 
I'm always comparing this to Uncharted while playing for some reason. I gotta say, that I'm enjoying it more. Primarily the gameplay and online.

I'm playing through right now and I love it. The story is really great, the gameplay is smooth and not repetitive. Really top notch job all around, I can't wait to get off work today and play more.
