I'm guessing button is just pressing the throw button and it will do it, no matter how long you press it. Button accuracy has to deal with how long you press it and trying to get it within the green in the meter.


As for the improvements on PS4, the only question that arose when watching the interview with PSN was about shadows. Russell states that shadows weren't possible on the PS3 during night games. I just played a game and saw shadows. The game started with some light but by mid game it was dark and I could see players have shadows underneath the stadium lights. Now if he wants to say the shadows are improved...no doubt they will be but they were present on PS3.

the length of holding the button applies to both button and button accuracy to determine how hard the ball is thrown. there is no description of the difference in game or in the digital manual.

i cant figure out what this button accuracy does at all. do we have any members who are not banned from OS?

thats a very usful video....i was doing it completely wrong. i thought the meter was simply for power, but thats actually a accuracy meter...no wonder i cant throw to a base

I don't worry about meter and pulse crap.. place ball and throw it.

that said...still too many bugs in the game half the diamond dynasty menu's scroll on their own.

but that extra innings feature is cool...the next step for video games and madden needs to use it....you click on statistics in diamond dynasty and everyone who has ever played the game is listed there...you click o a name anplay the guys team without him even being there on any difficulty level you want and play against what ever his tendencies are.

its dumb in the sense that every idiot will try to play the number 1 guy because when someone plays your team you will get some extra money for your DD team to use on cards and advancing your team

thats fine if you play on the dummy settings. if you play on pulse, then u sure do have to worry about pulse.

I like the meter because my eye/hand coordination is not great, which makes pulse that much harder for me. I get penalized too much for my inability to time when to let go of a button. I also don't want it to be too easy, where I just point and throw. Meter gives me more chance of timing being precise. I have done analog throwing w/o feedback, but I might try it with the meter visible this year.

I use pulse pitching. I have to count to 4 in order to do it though. I play guitar and I think that is where I get that from, but I have to count the pulses and it has to be 4.

i dont understand why they dont have fielding practice. its like the forgotten aspect of the game. turning 2 is not easy and it really bugs me to have to learn the hard way

what do you mean no clue what settings you are using? you can select any settings you want for online. you can use classic pitching online if you want. the same options are available online as offline

While I'm admittedly waiting on the PS4 version, if I didn't have a PS4, I would not lose sleep over that difference and just get the ps3 game. The difference is not a system seller, IMO.

The difference will be a lot more pronounced in May when what you are looking at isn't compressed at 720p when the game runs at 1080p.

Hope you're right, but I think you're just reaching. I look at NBA2k14 on my ps4 and NBA2k13 on my 360, and while the differences are there, I am not freaking out about them.

2k14 on PS4 was insane imo compared to 2k13 ps3/360, but 2k looked like shit compared to The Show on last gen so that may be why you could be right here.

I think The Show will look better than 2k14 on PS4 but the difference will still be smaller because The Show already looked better.
