MLB 2K - Any way to do a Single Player-Type Mode?

Ha, you should advise him to save his money for the next year before advising him to switch to The Show. That's a ton of money to fork over just to switch baseball games.

That's one way, yeah. Still, if it's a matter of buying a PS3, I wouldn't recommend it. The Show is good game, but it's not worth the hundreds of bucks to upgrade. At least until SCEA comes out with a true next-gen version. The Show on the PS3 is simply the PS2 coding and game engine -- which SCEA has yet to upgrade -- but with next-gen graphics added. Better IMO to buy a second-hand PS2 and get the PS2 version. It's the identical game, minus the graphics/lighting of course and without the PS3 create-a-player feature.

not at all, progressive lighting, improved dynasty, i could go on and on, it is 100x better on ps3, its well worth the dollars if you are a baseball fan
