That sweep feels great especially after that meltdown loss on Sunday against the Tigers. Good to see there were no hangover effects from that game. And its nice to get some payback against those bum ass Indians after what they did to us last year.

On a different note, hopefully Chris Heisey isn't hurt too badly because the Reds don't have a CFer right now. Wilson Valdez might start in center tomorrow :tiptoe:

I read in a Little League magazine at work (lol) that Dickey was born without a ligament in his pitching elbow so he had to learn the knuckleball because of that. You probably all knew that already, but I thought it was interesting. :kanye:

well the story goes, Dickey was a 1st round pick, had nasty stuff...but he took some photo for a mag, and doctors from Texas saw this photo, seeing his arm looked "weird"...Rangers did due dilligence, found out he had no UCL in his elbow. They drastically dropped his signing offer, and Dickey had to take it. It took him getting bombed in the minors for him to actually learn how to throw the knuckle ball as a last ditch effort to get back to the majors.

What was so BS about it? That was only the 2nd runner to get on and you know when you have a guy that throws a knuckleball you're going to get some passed balls. It sucks that it ended on an unearned run though. Should of brought the infield in and tried to get the runner at home. :longo:

Apparently his "fork ball" was a knuckleball in disguise, so he had to refine the pitch.

Huge series win for the Cards last night with a chance to put a run together in the coming days. We're facing some really shitty pitchers over the next four days, so this will be a great opportunity to get back into the NL Central race.

No. Fields really well but he is no where near being an elite offensive shortstop. He's going to struggle at the plate.

He's hitting .326 brah. Contact rate is elite.

13 games is a bit of a small sample size to be basing on. His ISO is more than 2 times anything he's done in a full season of minor league ball.

Not too worried about the power, he still projects as a high contact, high average line drive hitter. Either way I think you and I can both agree he's a keeper.

Need we say it anymore? His glove is :fap:tastic.

When will Mike Matheny get the balls to remove Motte from the closer's role? You need to start using other pitches at some point, Jason.
