This is still Spec Ops, all they did was add in upgrades and shit like that. Spec Ops was literally horde mode. No upgrades or anything, just tougher enemies.

So exactly how are you "with Grif". Buzzman showed a video of the "new" mode in Spec Ops. I quoted new because it maybe be newto CoD it's been in a ton of other games. Yes, WaW and BlOps had Zombies but that's not really a typical horde mode.
Brnt and I ragged on it because all of the CoD fanboys act like it's some innovative new mode, but it's not because it's been in so many other games.
Then Grif chimes in that it's not new to CoD because it was in MW2. Then I proved him wrong because the only thing MW2 had was a co-op mission mode, similar to the old GRAW games. Absolutely NOTHING like a horde mode.

So how is it that you're "with Grif" again?

No there aren't. There are a few missions where you have to kill X number of enemies, but there is no straight survival mode in MW2.

He's honestly wrong because I was playing it earlier, and on some missions you face waves of enemies while trying to survive. You could sit in one spot or move around if you like.

There are two "Wave Defense" missions, out of 23 total, which carry an exact number of waves (one is three, the other is five).

I guess if you want to count that as the same, then even better! Activision is pimping a mode that was already in the game!

A leaked European advertisement (sent to Wired.com) for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 shows off all the goodies players receive with the special Hardened Edition.

According to the advertisement, the Hardened Edition of the game (which releases November 8 across all systems), includes:

• The game disc with unique disc art.
• 1 year Call of Duty: Elite membership (which gives you access to downloadable map packs).
• Special Founder status on Call of Duty Elite. (in game emblem, playercard, weapon camouflage, clan XP boost)
• Steelbook Case
• Limited Edition 100+ Page Field Journal with military sketches, diagrams and written entries.

 

Xbox 360 owners get an exclusive Special Ops Juggernaut avatar outfit, while PS3 owners get an exclusive animated timeline theme.

The details have yet to be confirmed by Activision, and this is a European advertisement, so the US version could contain something different, though the versions have been identical in the past.

So does that mean that all 3 map packs will be included pretty much with the hardened edition?
