Most boring, mundane NFL season I can ever remember

If it wasn't for Tim Tebow, there wouldn't be a single compelling story in the league.

The Bills came back down to earth (as expected).

Aside from their shitty recent play, the Lions have also morphed from a 'feel good story' into a very hard to like, immature group led by a very unlikable head coach and star player.

'Suck for Luck' is down to one team in contention.

The Packers are the most boring undefeated team probably ever. That team has no juice or appeal to anyone outside Wisconsin.

Teams that are usually interesting and good, like the Jets, Chargers, and Colts , have either been disappointing or flat out terrible.

The 49ers are a nice story I guess, but i'm not feeling any buzz. The HC is a weirdo who is very hard to root for, and they are kinda boring to watch.

The leading rusher all season (until he got hurt) was the very pedestrian Fred Jackson.

Nobody is chasing any statistical records/milestones.

In general, the games have not been good. Before/after watching the Rams lose again, I usually put on Red Zone as background noise and either surf the internet or do things around the house. Especially true when Tebow isn't playing.

In past years, I would record the Sunday Ticket 'short cut' replays of all the games I missed on Sunday and rewatch them during the week, but this year I haven't bothered since week 2 or 3.

This season sucks.

As a Lions fan this season has obviously been exciting for me, but other than that, I'd agree with you. Nothing is really going on at the moment besides Tebow cementing his status as a HOFer.

Ware had 12 in the first seven games.

Ware needs 8.5 in 5 games to tie, and Allen need 9. Earlier in the season, both were on pace to break it, but they've slowed down recently.

If Ware can have another 3 or 4 sack game though, he still has a great chance.

I have been saying this for three or four years now. Very homogeneous league. Forgive me if I don't get excited when 4 different QBs break the passing record this season.

I've watched a lot of Packers and Steelers games this year. I was watching Bills games when they were good, but they've gotten difficult to sit through games.

The Steelers aren't nearly as good in seasons past, but they are still better than 75% of the teams in the NFL because of the Roethlisberger and Dick LeBeau. The Packers are very good on offense, their defense is decent but not overpowering, and Rodgers is great. When I watch their games, its as if they are just killing time until the playoffs. Not very compelling stuff.

I am amazed at how many truly bad teams their are in the NFL. Nearly half the league is 4-7 or worse. It was kind of funny watching all the games on Sunday, and while they were all close, they all sucked. Panthers-Colts. Redskins-Seahawks. Cards-Rams. Only one game featured two teams with winning records (Bears-Raiders).

Yeah, that's what I mean about the Packers.

When the Colts and Pats were chasing 16-0, it was must watch stuff (until the Colts inexplicably called off the dogs). I usually love watching teams throw the ball around all game long, which is why I spend Saturdays watching teams like Houston and Boise, but the Packers come off very uninteresting for some reason.

Some of it probably has to do with the fact that the Packers don't have a potential 'game of the year' matchup looming. Even come playoff time, is anyone really chomping at the bit to see the 49ers take a crack at them?

Yeah, I've been saying this for a while, although my interest has picked up because of the playoff races we have in each league. However, I think part of my interest was diminished during the October stretch of football because of the MLB playoffs.

Agreed Warner. Really boring season. At this point the college season is pretty much shit on too because we already know regardless of what happens this weekend it's LSU vs Bama for the title. Lame. Football just died a hard death here in the last week or so.

Tebow is about the only interesting thing about the NFL right now. I'm not sure if that's a compliment to him or a shot at the NFL.

Seeing him direct a comeback effort against a good Falcons squad helped grow my interest in this season too.

Speaking of rookie signal callers, I think one of the few highlights of the season. No one expected Dalton to be anything and he's leading an unlikely Bengals squad to a possible post-season berth. Cam's not getting it done in the W-L column, but he's provided some excitement to the Carolina fan base.

Poor Jacksonville.
