On the night of March 16, 2010, another chapter in a legend's storybook was unveiled. The Washington Wizards traveled far west to Denver Colorado to face off against the Denver Nuggets, and though they lost, one man stood well above the competition and almost secured a victory for his team. That man is Alonzo Gee, the rookie out of Alabama. In just his fifth game as an NBA (Non D-League) player, he scored 13 points and out-rebounded EVERYONE except for Carmelo Anthony. Yes, a 6'6 guard outrebounded huge, powerful players that towered over him such as the 6'11 250 lb. Nene, the 7 footer Johan Petro, and another 7 footer in McGee. This is only the first double double in his soon-to-be legendary career, and he will ultimately be known as the greatest player to ever play the game.
