NBA 2K12

the heat go absolutely beast mode on me and theres nothing i can do about it. the best i can hope for is to not waste posessions, but if i so much as brick a midranger, lebron goes the other way. they took me out 4-1 in the playoffs during my first season of my player, where i won rookie of the year and was 8th in scoring despite coming off the bench my first 30 games.

this is by far the best sports game ive ever played and has really engaged me in basketball in a way i havent since the height of 7 seconds or less.

I just hope they release a roster update after all this amnesty and sign and trade stuff gets done, because although i dont mind a full 82 game season, it's going to cheapen the experience if rosters are extraordinarily out of date. since buying the game some 2-3 months ago on Steam, the game hasnt patched once, and i still regularly crash coming out of halftime if i try to skip the million cutscenes too much.
 
Just picked this up today, couldn't resist the 39.99 on sale price.

I'm not much into playing games vs the cpu, but how does this play vs. the CPU?
 
They have a roster update coming out today or tonight I think I read...should have most of the roster changes that happened in the last few days.
 
First NBA 2K12 Roster Update Now Available

2K Sports pushed out the first roster update for NBA 2K12 early this morning. The update includes some of the rookies that have been officially signed and player movement that has taken place within the initial few days of the new league season.

Of note in this first update is the removal of Brandon Roy (retirement) and the players stuck over in China, Shane Battier to the Heat, Caron Butler to the Clippers, Tyson Chandler to the Knicks, and Tracy McGrady to the Hawks. Ron Artest has his name changed to Metta World Peace and though the PA announcer says it the commentators still refer to him as Artest.

The update is missing a significant number of moves that have already been completed. Lamar Odom remains on the Lakers, Gilbert Arenas on the Magic, and David West on the Hornets. Jimmer Fredette, Kemba Walker, and many of the rookies that have inked their deals were not added – in fact only four rookies total are introduced with the update.

Many are sure to express disappointment at the incomplete nature of the update but it does establish simply getting that first one out of the way so that the next one to come (probably later this week) can sweep through and catch up completely.

Just played a game online. A few thoughts:

- I lost by 9. Hawks (me) v. Knicks. Was down around 12 at the start of the 4th, and closed it to 5 with a couple minutes left. Missed some FTs and he made some to distance himself. Jeff Teague finished with 24 points, 4-6 on 3 pointers. I just cannot miss with dude.

- Either I have a sticky button on my controllers or something is really fucked up with the user response. There were tons of times I would be trying to shoot and random shit would happen instead, pump fakes, botched alley oops, passes, etc. All the opposite of what I was trying to do.

- The substitutions system blows donkey dick on this game. Takes forever to get your shit set.

- He paused it and not only was I frozen out of making any changes, but the allotted time for a pause is five minutes? WTF? I have to just sit there for five minutes? Could have at least let me navigate menus, lol.

Anyway, online play kind of blows on this game.
 
I have played 5 games so far since I bought this. 3 of the NBA's Greatest and 2 quick plays.

Really excited for the next roster update with hopefully all the rookie's.

Anything I need to know about sliders or any tips before I get started to get a dynasty that I really enjoy?
 
Second NBA 2K12 Roster Update Out Now

Another roster update for NBA 2K12 went out this morning following the initial one released on Monday that only processed a handful of moves while adding four rookies. This update includes more of the transactions that have been made official since the league season opened up last Friday and adds eight rookies to the mix.

David West is now on the Pacers, Chauncey Billups has moved to the Clippers, and Lamar Odom is now with the Mavericks. In terms of rookies many that have signed are still missing with 2K12′s total at just 12. Jimmer Fredette, Kemba Walker, Derrick Williams, Kawhi Leonard, and Brandon Knight are amongst those delivered today. It is likely another update will be out before the week is over if not even sooner considering the number of rookies still to get in and the fluidity of the NBA in this short period before the season begins.

It's nice to see them pumping out updates everyday.
 
Guess I should of waited a couple more weeks...I was pissed about the rosters and traded it in..oh well...guess I'll buy it again soon.
