ANYBODY CAN BE BEAT LOL
Seriously though the 4th quarter again, was just a prime example of the Heat failing in the clutch. I mean how many times did Bron pass up open 3pt shots late in that game? It seemed like he couldn't pull the trigger and force the action. It's why I like Kobe....say what you want about Kobe, but Kobe won't take JUST 14 shots...Kobe gonna chuck up 25-30 shots, try to get to the line, do SOMETHING, ANYTHING to will his team to victory.
What it came down to for me is the Mavs had 4-5 guys who could break their man down and make shots, making life difficult for the Heat to defend. At first, it was Dirk down low and on the block, killing the Heat. Then while the perimeter players struggled, Marion was doing his thing, throwing up ugly shot after ugly shot but making it.
Then the turning point was game 4. The Mavs began to make their 3pt shots. More importantly, they made it a point to never had a stall in their offense...the ball consistently moved. If Dirk got it on the block, he would attack, attack, so not to make the defense get settled in. When Terry got the ball, he was attacking. HE didn't wait for the defense to settle in as well. And then you had Barea doing the same. So you had all the guards in a mode to never stall the offense holding the ball, consistent movement of the ball side to side and to continuosly attack the defense. It made life difficult for the Heat to defend that. Barea would get into the defense and he would have an easy layup, or he'd pass out to an open 3. Terry would drive, hit that money 15 foot jumper, layup or pass out to an open 3. That same defense that Miami did to Chicago, didn't work against Dallas because Dallas had 3-4 guys who was waiting to hit open 3's.
IT was a clinic in how to beat the Heat defense...or how to beat any defense in general. Amazing job Dallas.
