Miami Flash15
The Jets Suck
If you didn't see the thread on the CP 5 website, well, here's a summary.
It'd work like a Madden franchise(for those who have played in one, just w/o the rookies).
For example:
Thunder Trade:
K. Durant
D. Cook
Pacers Trade:
D. Granger
D. Collison
That trade happens Season 1. Meaning, when we go into Season 2, that trade will still be there.
We will also make it interesting when it comes to free agency. Giving each player a certain contract and number of years with a team.
For example,
Paul Pierce would have 1 year left on his contract, meaning come season 2, he will be a free agent. But, you would have to have money to sign him and the person who bids the highest, gets him.
The Bobcats have $15 million left and have 11 players on their roster. They let go of Gerald Wallace and need a SF. They offer PP a 1 year deal for $15 mill. They are the highest bidder, and are awarded him.
Since they let go of G. Wallace, that means he is now a F/A.
Do you guys understand what I mean? Let me know your thoughts.
Season would be "short" with around 30 games. Giving everyone an equal opp. and chance to build upon via free agency, etc.
Team selection will be done with names in a randomizer(or some other order).
-Max number of years a player has on his contract is 3
That means, going into season 4, everyone from day 1 should be a free agent.
- Salary cap is $56 mill
-Max $ is $10 mill
A max player like Kobe, Durant, LeBron have $10/ year.
However, say you have 11 players on your roster and $44 million of salaries. You can make an offer for Durant for a number of years and $12 per if you would like to.
If you have 11 men on a roster and $20 free of cap, you can offer a F/A that $20. Just as long as your roster IS FULL.
Free agents are going to be interesting to do.
We'll do a 2 team for instance.
Minnesota signs Kevin Durant from OKC since he's a F/A. Since you can't sign or edit rosters in 2k, Minnesota will have to trade a player of their choice(perhaps lowest rated to be smart) to OKC for K. Durant.
