Pacers Pull Off One Last Deal Before Clock Struck Midnight

Only minutes before the NBA's official trade deadline went into effect, Pacers GM Larry Bird decided to accept an offer that has been on the table for the past couple of days.

"It took a lot of thinking," explained Bird who has already given this franchise an entirely new look this season.

The Heat made an offer just days ago to send point gaurd Chris Quinn and Yakhouba Diawara, both players who went undrafted 3 years ago, for the 22nd pick in the 2005 draft, Jarrett Jack.

An offer that Bird waited until the last minute to accept.

Quinn's ability to shoot from beyond the arch should aid the Pacers in their push to return to the playoffs after a 2 year hiatus.
