Yeah, I've been forcing bad shots early in games recently in seems. Then when I try to hit the wide open jumpers, he's cold and misses those too. Gotta work on getting it going early. Granger is automatic once he's hot.

Granger Recognized As Player Of The Week And All-Star MVP

Indiana Pacers forward has been recognized for his effort over the past week and has been named the NBA's Eastern Conference Player Of the Week. Despite the Pacers going 1-2, Granger posted solid numbers in only his 2nd week back from a strained achilles injury.

Granger averaged 30 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists to go along with just over a steal and block a game in games played between February 7th - 11th. Most importantly, Granger's play helped the Pacers best the division-rival Cavaliers allowing them to maintain their top spot in the Central Division.

Granger, who also participated in the All-Star festivities in Dallas this past weekend, helped the Eastern Conference upend the Western Conference, 106-90 and earned All-Star game MVP honors in the process.

Granger scored 19 points, pulled down 3 rebounds and tallied up a steal and a block in 22 minutes of play. Granger's outside shooting was also on display as he went 4-6 from beyond the arch.

Chris Kaman, who was also named to the Eastern Conference All-Star team for the 2nd straight year, scored 7 points and pulled down 1 rebound in 18 minutes of play.

There were no such reports of any strained acl's occuring during the All-Star game either, as a so-called "psychic" on a well known sports gaming forum had proclaimed.​

Quinn Involved In Another Trade Deadline Deal; Miller Getting Another Shot

After coming to Indiana at last season's trade deadline, Indiana Pacers point guard Chris Quinn is on the move once again. This time to Sacramento.

Quinn's play off the bench and as a starter during stretches of Pacers backcourt injuries this season combined with being only 26 years of age and being paid just over 1 million dollars this year, has made Quinn a bit of a hot commodity as the 2010 trade deadline nears.

Quinn has averaged 6 points and 4 assists in just over 15 minutes of play per game so far this season with the Pacers.

Andre Miller, who signed a 1 year deal with the Kings this past offseason signed with the impression that the Kings would be making a serious playoff run after acquiring James Posey and Peja Stojakovic from the Hornets a season ago. While the Kings at one point were in the thick of the Western Conference playoff race, they have since fallen from grace and now sit only 1 game out of last place in the conference.

It was no secret that Miller (33 years old) has wanted out of Sacramento to join a potential title contender as he realizes his time is running out.

Just before the deadline, a 2-way deal was consumated between Indiana and Sacramento that sent Chris Quinn and the Pacers 2010 1st round pick to the Kings and Andre Miller to the Pacers.

The move is big for the Pacers as Miller has always been known more as a playmaker than a scorer and in the right system, can be a reliable scoring option. He is a locker room presence, a leader. Many say he's one of the best players to set up his teammates in the NBA. Alley oops, passes from the dribble, and passes for the man coming off the screen are his bread and butter. Which will help the Pacers a lot more than many would think. Since Jamal Crawford took the reigns in Indiana, Danny Granger has noticeably been forced to take bad shots on plenty of occasions and his field-goal and 3-point percentages have taken a heavy dip from a season ago when T.J. controlled the ball. Not to mention, Granger currently leads the team in assists per game. Miller's ability to set up guys with good looks can not go overlooked.

The move also allows the Kings to possibly find their point guard of the future in Quinn as Beno Udrih is long gone and Bobby Jackson isn't getting any younger. And should Quinn not perform up to the expectations set for him, his contract expires at the end of the season, allowing the Kings to walk away from the deal unscathed and with another 1st round pick. Most importantly, Quinn gets an opportunity that he would never have gotten in Indiana; a spot in a starting lineup.

Miller will begin his tenure as a Pacer as the starting point guard allowing Jamal Crawford to return to his natural position at the 2. Brandon Rush will reassume his role as a solid bench contributor in the Pacers rotation.​

Granger shot 46% from beyond the arch a season ago. This season so far, 40%. Mostly because I force a lot of bad shots. Miller should help me get better looks. At least that's what I'm hoping for. Granger also averaged 28.5 PPG a season ago and is now averaging 25.5. Granted, I have more offensive firepower with Crawford and Sheed around this year, but I'm prediction Granger's average ppg average also goes up. :bounce:

Good Trade..Miller is still a monster even though he has some "stank" on him.

Miller has actually gotten better over the past couple seasons despite his age. lol. late bloomer I guess. I'm not expecting him to be an mvp or anything. Just run this team a bit better than Jamal did.

Hope that Miller can lead you to a CHAMPIONSHIP

I really do think this team can compete for one. If I can steer clear of the Cavs/Magic/Celts in the postseason, should be in good shape. Gotta see how the chips fall.
