custom uniform matches look sweet
you can change the pants color to an alternate but keep the home jersey... change socks colors and shoes

i actually like the game plan idea... just seems like it takes too long IMO. maybe after i learn my team and know exactly how to plan each game
i went "go for big play" or whatever instead of protect the ball and i fumbled on my first touch

I really like what they did with the lighting. I dont think they added the depth of field thing madden has but the shadows still look good. correction... depth of field is used on the cutaways so maybe it is in the game

the presnap view play is different... it completly changes the camera view to way up high and almost makes me dizzy

all penalties and stuff shows the player headshot, which is cool


ok... i only had time to play 1 quarter since it took more then an hour to DL this morning but i like what i see
now i gotta head out to work but ill play more later

i didn't get ncaa 09 but i played it a bit. i am not expecting a lot from this game but i can't lie and say that i am not a little bit excited to play a new football game right now.

Typing this up as I play on Heisman. I'm Florida, CPU is OU.

Player control and tackles feel stiffer and tighter. I like it.

OU got ball first and ran a draw out of SG Ace for a 30 yard gain.

OU drove down the field mixing up the run on me, lot of draws which was awesome.

Player lock is awesome but scary once you let the WRs run right past you and play as a safety.

OU ran a screen that would have been huge had my DE not sniffed it out and broken it up.

I ran a screen on 3rd and 1 and OU DE sniffed it out and broke it up.

Picking plays seems laggy/glitchy when scrolling through formations and plays.

Went for it on 4th and 6 and got sacked, OU D was in man to man. Think there was a blitz on but honestly I don't know if it was the corner or the MLB that came, wish they had replays. Cool to get sacked though.

OU ball, I'm in nickel cover 2 zone and decide to control the DT. I hit LB and my DT jumps in the air and gets thrown to the ground. Bradford finds a WR on a flag route in the corner of the end zone for a 30 yard TD. OU up 10-0.

3rd and 1 and I decide to run 5 wide and scramble straight to sideline with Tebow to try some cheese. I feel a lot of pressure once I get close to the sideline, Tebow throws a laser to a WR crossing downfield about 25 yards away who catches it and somehow manages to stay in bounds.

Next play I run a 5 wide WR screen, much slower to develop in this game than madden and last years NCAA (I think). Gets called back for holding after about an 8 yard gain.

Next play 5 wide Jet sweep to WR, no room to go anywhere.

Next play 2nd and 16, hit my slot WR on a post route for a 20 yard gain. D was in man to man, no safety help, MLB stayed put but Tebow put it over him nicely.

I run the same play twice in a row as there is only 40 seconds left in the 2nd quarter and I have no more TOs. Some play out of SG Ace. MLB stays in the middle of the field Tebow throws it well over him to hit the crossing WR behind him for about a 15 yard gain. Same play again D is in man to man I hit my other WR on an out route he is down at the 1. I run same play again I just run it in with Tebow pretty easily.

OU ball, I pick Jump The Snap for my DL and my DE gets in instantly but Bradford completes a short pass to the WR before he gets fucked in the ass.

Next play I do player lock with the SS and decide to blitz with him. I rush Bradford he throws it to a WR but its picked by Spikes!!! Spikes takes it to the house. Camera angle was really weird on this cuz CPU was controlled by Spikes and I was the SS the entire time watching Spikes run toward the end zone as I lagged 30 yards behind.

Florida 14, OU 10 going into half time.

Florida gets ball. I bust a nice spin move with my KR to make a gunner miss but am tackled shortly after.

QB blast with Tebow first play, 3 yard gain. Speed option second play, 3 yard gain. Late pitch by Tebow but he still makes it perfectly cuz he is Tebow bitch.

Complete a 6 yard crossing route to a WR on 3rd and 4. Get stopped for no gains on two straight run plays. 3rd and 10 I run a WR screen, try to wait for it to develop but I wait too long and it is fucked in the ass, 3 yard loss.

4th and 15 I decide to go for it cuz I have Tebows. Defense is in some weird ass dime formation I've never seen before where slot DBs are stacked on top of each other or something. I run a PA Seems out of SG Normal and my slot WR on a seem/post is wide open. 1st down!

I cannot run the ball whatsoever but am not doing a good job of trying or using the Offensive Game Plan. Not a lot of missed or broken tackles which I like.

2nd and 16 I run a playaction pass out of SG trips with a HB circle route. He is open, MLB is man to man on him. I hit him for a 6 yard gain but the MLB strips it!! Shouldn't have selected Break Tackles on offensive game plan...

Next play OU WR gets behind my controlled SS and beats the CB for a huge 50 yard TD. This camera angle is tough to get used to, especially when trying to adjust to the ball.

1:25 left in the 4th quarter. My ball.

I can't get anything going, couple incomplete passes and a 1 yard run and it is 4th and 7 on my 30. Strong flood out of a 4 wide 1 TE formation. I can already see the D is in man to man and my TE should be open over the middle and he is, huge gain down to the OU 15.

Next play D is in man I hit my split end for a 13 yard gain down to OU 2. 20 seconds left, I run a HB screen and HB drops it, he is being shadowed my DE anyway. 11 seconds left.

I have 2 timeouts left so I call a HB run out of SG, he fights his way into the endzone but the play is called back for holding!

8 seconds left, ball on the 12. Corso wants me to kick a FG but I have Tebow bitch.

Try to hit a crossing route that is going to be open but I throw it too early, batted down by DBs, should have probably been picked. 5 seconds left, I'm hoping there is OT!!

And there is! Going to OT!

OU gets ball first.

OU comes out in a heavy set trying to pound it, RB gets 5 but is stripped!!! But OU OL recovers...

I'm in dime man as OU comes out in SG. I control MLB who is on the HB but then stay in the middle field thinking Bradford might hit the crossing route but nope he hits the HB. Touchdown OU fuck me I forgot I'm not playing one of you bums.

First play I run a jet sweep, keep it with Tebow, 1 yard gain.

HB quick base next play, HB 2 breaks a few tackles and gets a 6 yard gain but gets hurt.

I run palyaction next play but am sacked and Tebow fumbles WTF. My OL gets ball back but I suffer a 10 yard loss.

4th and 17 at my 30.

I hit my TE over a deep post route but he is tackled on a 16 yard gain. 1 yard short. Game over, OU WINS. FUCK.

Honestly this game was a ton of fun. I wish I could look at my stats but I know that Tebow was something like 18-21 with 200+ yards, no picks, and 2 TD passes I believe. Running the ball was hard, passing was pretty easy.

I'm going to play another one this time as OU to get more impressions. Won't post a full recap like the last long ass post. Just more impressions.

I didn't play NCAA 09 much so take my impressions with a grain of salt. Also difficult to gauge the game based on just this demo.

I guess I'll play on All-American next to see the differences but I thought Heisman felt nice despite the run game struggles for me.

Playing on All American right now and Tebow is making my OU D look like a bunch of pussies. 2 passes and they are on my 30.

1st play was a playaction out of shotgun, I was in a 4-3 cover 3 and my OLB bit hard on the playaction and Tebow hit the HB in the flat for a big gain. He was tough to tackle in the open field.

Next play I went nickel man to man and Florida was in 4 wide, my LB on his WR got burned on a crossing route for a huge gain.

3rd and 3, nobody is open and Tebow gets pressured and hit while he is thrown ball floats up in the air up for grabs but nobody is close to it. 4th down, UF kicks the FG.

I like OU's playbook much more. Florida's was all shotgun. I run two plays get 5 yards. I like the running game.

CB blitz on 3rd and 5 I throw the deep out toward that side but his OLB picks me off. I shouldn't have thrown it saw it all the way and saw my HB on a flare route open.

I manually make my OLB blitz and he kills a jet sweep toward his side for a 4 yard loss. Pretty cool.
Florida kicks FG they're up 6-0.

Return game is much more realistic and difficult than last years.

I don't know if it's OU's OL or UF's DL but my OG's have flat out missed their guys on some runs.

Feel like I've seen too many flags for having only played 2 games so far. Holdings and clippings on too many run plays for my taste.

Corner covers my WR in man to man on an out route on the wide side of the field like a fly on shit...Breaks it up beautifully. Perfectly played. nice to see.

My WR drops a wide open pass on 3rd and 18. Corso wants me to fake it, lol.

Damn my whole D got sucked into this run out of SG and the HB broke it outside for a 60 yard TD run. Untouched. I played it pretty poorly with my FS but everyone was sealed.

I run 2 plays in a row for 7 yard gain and 8 yard gain, 2nd one is called back for holding. This is getting old already.

Complete a curl route on 3rd and 14 for a 13 yard gain, run QB sneak next play and my QB automatically dives forward after getting the snap but gets the 1st.

I throw a deep bomb and his FS skies up for it to pick it off. I try to control my WRs but I can't get in position or close enough to the ball to make them go up for it.

I stop him on 3rd and 5 but get a personal foul flag for facemask. Game over, I lose 13-0.

All American felt harder than Heisman, lol. I'll have to play again in a little bit. Couldn't really see the differences between the two. Hell, I played better on Heisman than All American.
