NCAA 10 Demo Impressions

The fact that the camera acts the way it does and reveals whether or not you are passing/running is just another one of the thousand reasons I believe that EA knows very little about football.

I'm still going to get this game, but my parents are buying it for me as a gift for my good grades.

I'm probably going to use it for draft classes mostly for Madden, as well as to pass some time with my CAT, but this is the least excited I've ever been for NCAA.

Ya, i dont know what to say guys, I just got done laying about 5 more games. Now, it could be that I am the worst at the site, could be, but on hiesman the Gators had 2 sacks, 4 hurries, and 4 knockdowns. To is me, the pass rush there.

And I must be the only one who doesn't mind the new camera angle in the passing game. Its different, people usually hate whats different. Yes its more difficult thatn before to judge some balls, but you just gotta adjust. Everyone will adjust and it will be a non-factor in a month.

Running is fun, and defense is tough. But I can handle something being tough for whatever reason. At least its a challenge.

Also, games have not gone over 28 points total. And I agree with vinsane, i got a 40 Sony Bravia with HDMIs. The game looks crisp.

I think the NCAA team has left the community (i.e. no longer posting on the message boards) until after release. So you will probably have to wait until after the game is released to find out 100%

I am fairly confident this is the case as they have yet to give us all the old camera options from last gen. Why would they start now?

EDIT: Nearly 68% of OS members are claiming they are not buying this game. If that number is even close to what happens I would expect heads to roll from the NCAA Development team.

I would've been good with the camera angle from 09. Hopefully someone will get the game early and confirm this.

The demo blows ass, and from what I read at OS, the sliders are once again messed up.. This after I PMed that jackass OMT 5 times about the slider issue from 09. He responded that they indeed work this time around.

Incompetent fools. I'm not only passing on the trashy NCAA, but I'm highly considering passing on Madden 10, as well.

Beware of the aggressive gameplan setting.. I tried it out and proceeded to get called for penalties on 11 consecutive running plays, I kept track.

So this year I've finally decided I'm going to stop wasting $60 for a rental. I'm going to stop giving EA my hard earned money so they can continue to put out shitty products. If enough people do this, someday we'll get the game we've hoped for.

And that right there is why im still gonna buy the game...SOMEDAY. What. 1 year, not, 5 years maybe, 10 years maybe more likely?

This year is easily the worst year for the NCAA dev teams. I thought 09 was bad, but these guys are taking hits left and right (deservedly so)and if they dont get the message this year, then i dont know...

played my first game on the demo earlier today. i was florida and won 20-17 on a last second field goal. it took me a while to get used to the controls since i played 09 on PS2. i was winning 17-10 when they scored on a deep pass to tie it up. but i played as well as i ever have in a football game on that last drive and was able to get into position for a chip shot field goal as time expired. it was pretty fun but so far i enjoyed playing games on 09 more. theres something different about it but i dont know what.

Finally played the demo on 360, even thought I will buy it on PS3 (if I get it). The graphics looked different, I won't say worse but just different but I had 09 on PS3. Also I agree that the CPU passing looked easy (at least on AA). I canceled my order on Amazon, even though I had it priced at $50. However now I can get the game at TRU for $40 because of a $20 gift card. I'm not sure whether or not I should get it, not much is out in July and this gift card expires July 31st. This is the least I've been for a NCAA title and I wasn't that much excited for NCAA 09. I actually do like the player lock but nothing else felt to much different from last year.

I just scored 42 points in the demo. I was Oklahoma. It was on All-American tho but still that shouldn't happen...

I just played a game Florida (cpu) vs Oklahoma (me) and i won 44-30 into a 4th overtime. It was 30-30 going into the 4th overtime and i hit a 25 yard fade route and then the two point conversion with the jet sweep. I went up 38-30. Then when florida got the ball i scored a pick six off of Tim Tebow. It was an epic game.

This game plays insanely fast for college football and I've only played it on AA. I can only imagine the Heisman speed cheat.

Pass rush doesn't look to be any different.

Honestly, the game looks pretty much the same as 09, with a few more animations from a game play perspective. The "Aggressive/Conservative" stuff is junk, methinks.

So you're brain dead? Who cares when they make a good NCAA game. The shit will never be nothing more then a one month rental. Madden is football, NCAA is to hold us over. If you're going to buy this shit to use as a coaster, then be my guest.

Actually there's a decent amount of us who don't even buy/play Madden aka me and a few of the other guys that were in our Online Dynasties at Vetz.

In my mind up until this year NCAA has been destroying Madden on overall gameplay and stuff.

This year looks to be the other way but I have little to no interest in Madden or any NFL game for that matter.

Question for you guys:

The graphics look absolutely horrible. It seems to be out of focus/fuzzy or not sharp/crisp or something.

Wondering if this is: (1) a PS3 issue; (2) a standard def t.v. issue and/or (3) a NCAA 10 issue?

I play on Hi Def with a PS3 and I think the game looks very PS2'ish.

Could be that it's a demo but I can't see it improving greatly.

The game looks like ass to me.

It looks like I am going to pass on NCAA for the first time in ages.

Might go with a Madden/NHL purchase this year. Madden has gone from "I won't even look at it" to having my interest piqued very high. Will rent Madden first, but that is a far cry from my opinion of the game say...2 months ago.

NHL will get my money on release day this year, period. I usually held off on NHL games until NCAA wore out, but this year, NHL will get my dough instead of NCAA.

I will rent NCAA to collect years of draft classes and thats about it, it seems.

I agree with Larry ^ - the gameplay is ridiculously fast. Almost like a hockey game.
