Let's hope this is finally the year gameplay is addressed. I am excited to hear about this new passing system in place, so we will have to see if it's included in the preview.

- There was essentially one type of pass in past, now 25 different trajectories.
- This includes the ability to pass over linebackers and users can lead the pass with the left stick for added control
- There are 20+ new drop backs, based upon proper dropbacks depending on the routes in the play.
- QBs can throw on run without setting up, but throws are more difficult across their body.
- Icons dim at snap, lit up when receivers able to make the catch.
- No more psychic defensive backs.
- Both offensive and defensive players "have to see it before they can make a play on the ball."

I don't believe it is actually that cut and dry, just how that user worded it. I haven't seen it yet, but from what I'm reading is the passing isn't like that.

Well while everyone shits themselves over it on OS, they are going to change it for NCAA 14. Then that will be their main improvement. "BRAND NEW ANIMATIONS WITH ACCURATE BALL SIZE."

That's exactly what happened over dreadlocks. Dudes went apeshit over not having dreadlocks, and they add it as one of the key features for the years.

That's more an indictment of EA's general laziness than anything else IMO.

They are not visible until they run the route, but I am sure you can still throw it to them. I think he said they are more likely to catch the ball if their icon is colored.

The dim passing icons represent the receiver not ready for the ball (not looking at it), you can still throw it but there's not a good chance it will be complete. Should really help stop rocket catching.

There has to be more to it. What about during blitzs? Are the cpu WRs gonna know to be ready like right away? Cant imagine having to just take a sack.
