Does anyone see FIU upsetting Maryland this Saturday?

The Panthers rank 28th in the nation in total defense, ninth in the nation with 17 tackles for loss, and ninth in the nation in passes intercepted with five in two games against Rutgers and at Texas A&M.

Thoughts? I think FIU could pull this off.

I could see it happening, would definitely be an upset. And Maryland has played better this season than I expected.

Yeah, Kent State wasn't a good game, but it's only one game. You can't judge a team based on one game.

As for Bolden, he's young obviously, and he's only been in the football program for less than two months (freshman that didn't graduate early to take part in spring practice), but he's already better than Daryl Clark in my mind. His poise in the pocket is unmatched compared to Clark's (Clark would shit his pants in big games and when the rush came, whereas Bolden hangs in there) and he'll continue to get better with experience.

Right now, I'll say 8 wins. I think That's being positive, because I think 7 is a strong possibility.

the entire State of Michigan (both Schools) could very well beat Penn State at this point....granted both games are at home haha. That can help, but that rookie/fresh QB...?

Michigan has a defense that would be carved up by Anthony Morelli of all people. I'm confident Bolden can play well enough to win against them.

Not enough quality games, the entire Big Ten conference took the week off. And a few still lost. Only two games I was really looking forward to, Arkansas-Alabama and Oregon State-Boise.

Akeem Ayers of UCLA is the top OLB in the nation. He's a top 10 pick for sure if he declares as a junior. 6'4" 255 and can play in any defense.

If Penn State plays like they did today against Iowa next Saturday, they'll lose by at least 20. What a horrible performance.

Some positives taken though are Robert Bolden, Evan Royster and Justin Brown. Bolden had a fantastic game, minus a few over-throws, and led us on a fourth-quarter 96-yard drive that ended in a TD to put the game away. He made many clutch third-down throws and proved once again his poise in the pocket, getting drilled a few times but still completing the pass. He's going to be a special player.

Royster showed up finally! :applause: I'm pissed Silas Redd didn't get any carries, especially with how bad Stephon Green was today.

Bolden to Brown is going to sound mighty fine for the next few years.

The defense got lucky Bernard Pierce got hurt...he was playing really well. Once he left with an injury, the defense stepped up and allowed just two first downs iirc, and forced two interceptions.

Galen Hall's playcalling was shit.

Al Golden better be the next Penn State head coach.

In other news, SC blew-out Washington State despite Matt Barkley's shitty play. I'd have put Mustain in earlier, as opposed to just in relief. In fact, I would've started Mustain last year. I said it then and I maintain it now. He's a better quarterback. It's a good thing our true freshman corner (first ever true freshman cornerback to start the season in USC history - #37, Nickell Robey) had two interceptions, including one for a touchdown. And T.J. McDonald had the other one, I believe... The game got too close for comfort early on, but we pulled it out.

Stanley Havili had a stupendous game. Over 80 yards rushing and 100 receiving. That kid's got pro talent. How many fullbacks can line-up at tailback, fullback, or receiver? I wonder where he'll go in the draft.

It's also interesting to me that Kiffin decided to run a committee backfield after saying he prefers to have one or two runningbacks. They all did pretty well, though.

We better not slip in the rankings this week. We beat Hawaii, dropped form 14 to 16; beat Virginia, dropped from 16 to 18; beat Minnesota, dropped from 18 to 20. It's all rather unfortunate. If those games hadn't been so close, though, it wouldn't have been a problem. We blew out this team, so we ought to at least go up once.

Yesterday was probably the first time in my life I rooted for fUCLA. I'm glad they upset Texas and it was cool getting to see their little pistol triple-option. If they keep playing up to snuff, it should make for a great Victory Bell game.

Happy to see Boise and TCU retain their undefeated seasons. I was hoping Arkansas would upset Bama, but oh well. Btw, I can't stand how Saban is trying to make McElroy out to be a quarterback now. Just let the fucker hand off the ball. You've got two great runningbacks, enjoy that. If he hadn't thrown two fucking interceptions, the game might not have been as close, and I wouldn't have almost gotten the upset I was rooting for. But such is life.

OSU blew the shit out of EMU - 73-20... That's ridiculous. Terelle's four passing TDs, plus the rushing and receiving, are making him out to be quite the Heisman candidate.

My football fanhood is set to "raging boner" for the rest of the week. I wish I could fly back to Louisiana for a night just to get some good shit talkin' in.

LSU is doing work also. Good time to be me in the football dept. Just don't ask me about the Braves. I refuse to acknowledge that there is a professional baseball league at the moment.

My Heisman list right now

1. Denard Robinson QB Michigan
Probably stays here until Michigan loses and then he's out of consideration to me.

2. Terrelle Pryor QB Ohio State
If it weren't for Robinson leading the nation in rushing and taking Michigan to 4-0 he'd easily be at the top of the list right now. He's still not a great pro QB in my eyes but he's as good as it gets in college.

3. Kellen Moore QB Boise State
Big wins in their only two tough games. He's really going to have light it up to improve his stock with the rest of that schedule.

4. Cam Newton QB Auburn
My darkhorse pick. If Auburn keeps winning he has to be in NYC.
