Pathetic showing by tOSU today. I mean, I'm willing to cut some slack because of the true frosh QB, missing a 3 year starter at RT and having to start a true frosh in his place, missing the top 3 WR's, injuries on defense, but still.

It's Purdue. Even the experienced players today played like crap.

Bradley Roby is amazing though. Next in a long line of great corners to come out of tOSU.

We need a competent QB coach badly though. Nic Siciliano has no business being the QB coach here outside of being one of Tressel's good ole boys. Braxton is not progressing as a passer. They aren't designing this offense to his strengths.

Fickell era is done after this year. We would've been in the B1G title game had we won out, but now we're 6-4 (3-3). All that's left to play for is pride, and of course Michigan.

South Carolina needs Kentucky's help

South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier hasn't done much to endear himself to the Kentucky football program over the years, but he'll be rooting for the Wildcats on Saturday.

Spurrier's Gamecocks (8-2, 6-2 SEC) can only make the SEC Championship game if Kentucky beats Georgia this weekend. Spurrier holds an all-time record of 18-1 against Kentucky while coaching at Florida and South Carolina and handed the Wildcats their worst-ever loss against the Gamecocks this season in a 54-3 beatdown on Oct. 8.

Phillips said he hasn't heard from Spurrier since the game.

"You don't ever hear from him after (the teams play)," Phillips said. "He's got other things to focus on."

Spurrier hasn't been kind to Kentucky over the years. His teams have scored 40 or more points against Kentucky 10 times and scored 50 or more six times.

Phillips did receive a text message from a South Carolina phone number offering him "dinner anywhere in the world" if Kentucky beats Georgia this weekend, though. He did not recognize the phone number. Phillips served as an assistant at South Carolina in 2002.

He did not respond to the text.

According to sources, the University of Houston is scheduled to meet with Orange and Sugar Bowl officials at the end of the week to determine a possible bowl destination. No other specific details have been made available.

The Cougars are undefeated at 10-0 with SMU coming to town on Saturday and led by senior quarterback Case Keenum who at minimum, should get an invite to the Heisman Trophy ceremonies later in New York City.

Head Coach Kevin Sumlin and Houston got big help from TCU who defeated non-AQ member Boise State on last Saturday. So, there’s little debate on whether or not the Cougars have firmly positioned themselves for one two possible BCS Bowl opportunities should they go undefeated.

Following the SMU contest, the Cougars will travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma to face the Golden Hurricane who are the only other undefeated conference foe at 6-0, 7-3 overall.

I honestly hope we don't get invited to a bowl this year...if we even become bowl eligible.

EDIT: What I really mean is that I hope we don't get invited if we become eligible because the product on the field is embarrassing. The players are busting their ass and the coaches as well, but, we just aren't good enough and I wouldn't want this product to represent what USF football is.

Love the insertion of the Wildcat tonight against OSU. Curtis Drake and Bill Belton were really effective carrying the ball and making their reads. The running game as a whole was solid with Redd and Green averaging over 5 yards a carry.

Really impressed with Braxton Miller. In the right offensive scheme (especially if the Meyer rumors are true), he's going to make Big Ten defensive coordinators lose sleep for the next 2-3 years. I already know I'll be dreading playing him in the future, especially compared to Pryor.

Go beat Wisconsin.

Well, flat-out, that sucked.

Defense couldn't defend the wildcat at all, and really just gave up the A gap based on alignment pretty much every time PSU lined up in it. Travis Howard continued to suck as usual at corner.

Braxton is a baller. If Corey Brown catches that pass it's a whole new ball game, and the funny thing is on the same play he had Jordan Hall streaking wide open down the middle of the field, but he didn't see him. Kid is going to be amazing once he gets the proper coaching/offense.

DeVier Posey... great game on limited touches.

Hats off to Penn State for a good game. Now go beat those fucking Badgers.
