Just picked up the Limited Edition for $37.99 at K-Mart....let's do it.

EDIT- won my first two races, first one I was trailing the whole time and hit the nitrous right at the end to win it haha, I'm WAY behind Twigg's times though, 17+ seconds on each right now....still trying to get the hang of drifting and braking.

What in the ever loving fuck are you talking about? You are completely contradicting yourself.

Like I said (and you said) all you have to do is keep the gas pedal mashed in this game and hit the brake when drifting in turns. You would do the exact same thing on the 360 controller. You hit the X button to use boost. You hit square to handbrake. How is that difficult at all?!? Are you honestly telling me you can't hold R2 with your right index finger and press X or square with your thumb??? How is that different than holding RT and pressing A or X on the 360 pad?

the difference is that on the ps3 controller its a pain in the ass. on the 360 controller its not. holding the bumper or trigger on the 360 is something a person can do relaxed and gently. on the ps3 u literally have to mash the button down to keep it pressed

i dont know why its so hard for you to comprehend what i am saying. u even posted that the trigger design is flawed. yet u will go on and on trying to argue with me about my opinion on the controller. nobody else commented on it except you

sidenote. EA also made road rash. if they took this game and slapped motorcycles on it with the ability to punch, kick or swing a bat...then maybe added a purchase system for buying new bikes u would have a next gen road rash game. and that would be joy

I didn't say it was "flawed". Basically it's not as intuitive as the 360 controllers triggers, Mostly because of the contour design as oppsed to the convex one of the 360. This can be easily fixed with a $5 set of triggers. But those aren't even needed/recommended for a game like this.

If it were possible you could play this game with a fucking Gamecube controller and it wouldn't make a lick of difference.

Just because YOU changed the scheme it's wrong? Is that what you are saying? I didn't touch the control scheme and I'm guessing everyone else in this thread that plays on PS3 hasn't either. I honestly have no idea wtf you are talking about.

This has nothing to do with being anti-Microsoft. I have said many times that the triggers on the 360 controller are better for sim racing games like Forza or even if GT5 wa son 360. But with a game like this it makes ZERO difference. What anti-Microsoft statment have I made Mr. Gates?

does anyone have any issues with the autolog feature not staying logged in and then not allowing u to connect when u ask it to? on both systems i had to restart the game at various times to see the autolog scores.

jms is the only person actively playing this on my FL so i am competing against his times. i dont understand why they have all these time trial type races. Just make it all cops vs racers. i love playign as a cop the most....super fun and all i would need from this game

I've said it before and I will say it again, the Rapid Response events are fucking bullshit. They are excrutiantingly difficult. Every other event is very fair. Yet in these things you are expected to get somewhere, usually 10+ miles away, as fast as you can, Yet everything little bump of a guardrail or other vehicle adds 2-3 seconds to your time.

I personally have never had a problem with the PS3 control with any game, although I can see how some people's fingers might slip off of the L2 + R2 buttons when holding them down.

Your posting in the GT5 thread made it seem as if you were really trying to find all of the flaws possible so you could talk yourself out of buying it. However if it were Forza 2.5, no question it is a buy.

to the rest of your comments, your forgetting one extremely important difference. I look for flaws in EVERY game. i dont care if its ps3, 360 or wii. I will criticize any game. i ripped on forza 3 for alot of things so u must have had selective reading about that game.

people playing NFS are all saying get for ps3 get it for ps3, but then someone gets it for ps3 without knowing how shitty it is to control. So i come along and rip on it because it deserves to be said that its 100 times better on the 360 because the control feels so much better in my opinion.

We all know what your point was. But my point is that it doesn't matter with this type of game because it's arcade so the added response you get from the triggers on 360 is a moot point. There is no feather of the brake or gas in this game which is the advantage of the 360 triggers.

That's what you don't seem to understand. But then you come back with some nonsense about how it's still hard to control on the PS3 controller?!? Really? Well then why are you the only one having problems? Look at Wings. He just got a PS3 a few months ago. He's been playing with a Xbox/360 controller for as long as I've known him. Yet he has absolutely no issues. Interesting.
