How many rings has he gotten with Cleveland?

None yet... but I don't see Cleveland throwing words like upside and potential around. He knows he will be deep into the playoffs if not better ever year with the Cavs. Will he have that at New York?

A Perfect team? They haven't won anything yet, how could you proclaim that? Your perfect team consists of aging Vets like Jameson and Ilgauskas along with a hurt Mo Williams and a shitload of other below average role-players like Delonte West and Daniel Gibson. The knicks will have more upside and youth than Lebron's current squad in a year. You think a pairing of Lebron and Wade/Bosh along with Gallinari (who's is going to light up MSG btw with kickouts from LBJ )or David Lee with his nightly dbl-dbl won't guarantee a knicks a spot in the playoffs? The only gaping hole is the PG spot which be solidified in the near future. The Knicks in the next decade if they do acquire James will definitely be scary and very formidable.

If Cleveland doesn't win the Ship this year i doubt he goes back to Cleveland but if they win the ship i think he will stay.

He'll have a bonafide star playing to next to him will relieve him of all sorts of pressures that he currently has in Cleveland. Cleveland has endlessly tried to build a good enough around Lebron but they have inevitably failed. He's been paired with a countless number of players that have had little or no impact on the success of the Cavs like Shaq, Ben Wallace, Wally Z, Luscious Harris, Eric snow, etc. And now they the Cavs become a "perfect" team because they have Antawn Jamison, a good scorer but a horrible defender? Cleveland isn't winning this year and Lebron will see that. The Knicks will build around him and bring in players that can make an impact and that can help Lebron see a ring in the near future.

I'd call Jamison a bonafide star but I don't think it makes them perfect by any means. I'm not sure how you can be so sure tha the Cavs won't win either. They are good enough to win the East and they have already shown this year that they have an upper hand [or so it seems] over the Lakers.

Why the fuck would he go to a team that has to rebuild around him AGAIN when Cleveland has already done that? With this Cleveland team, they should win a title within the next 3 years. I'm sure it will take way longer than that if he leaves, especially to fucking NY. There's more than just bringing in players to build around him, chemistry is the key, and Cleveland has that.

The thing is that, imo, a team of LeBron + whoever he picks (johnson, wade, amar'e, bosh) will be better than the current Cavs lineup within 1 nba year. LeBron has already "wasted" a couple of seasons with the Cavs in failing to win the ship.

Also, who have the Cavs gotten to help him win? O'Neal and Jamison are shells of the players they used to be, still good but not "great". If he comes to NY, which i dont think will happen btw, but if he does than he'll have another "great" player to help him.

LeBron + Wade + 3 average starters > LeBron + Current Cavs lineup

You can have all the superstars all you want, but if they don't click, you ain't winning shit. People should realize that already. Yes, it looks damn good on paper..but doesn't mean it will automatically work out like you think. He's staying in Cleveland, end of discussion.

I doubt it's a guarantee that James is staying in Cleveland.

For one thing, shit's not certain until the CBA is worked out. For all we know, by the time they do, players pocket books may take a hit. If that happens, James may want to go somewhere where he can make more $$$ besides his contract.

Right now, I'd say it's 60-40, he'll stay in Cleveland. If they get bounced early, I could see him leaving for the Knicks. If they win a championship, it'd be interesting to see his decision. Does he want to be like Mark Messier and be the man to deliver a championship?

Either way, the Knicks should be able to get at least one great player in free agency and that's one more than they have now.
