#2 defense #2 pass rush vs Cutler who was sacked 52 times this season, mixed with Rodgers and company who put up 24 pts per game, it looks good for the Packers.
But I've been thinking it over, and I see more and more ways lately for the Bears to win. I still think the Packers got this game and earlier this weak I thought the Bears stand no chance, but I'm realizing the Bears have more than a fighting chance in this game.
Forte is great slipping out of the backfield for short passes catches and avoiding tackles for YAC yardage, and the Bears are as good as any team running the screen. So the Packers Blitz can be beat. Cutler is great at extending the play with his feet in the face of the rush, and the Bears WR's/RB/TE do a good job of making themselves targets when he does.
Special teams is so important this game I think, and the Bears have Hester and Manning. I think the Bears will greatly benefit from starting with good field position, and they have to avoid being pinned deep against a stingy Pack D. This is such an important aspect of this game.
Lastly, redzone offense. You best believe that if the Packers get into the redzone, Rodgers is going to score touchdowns. By either running it in himself, passing or floating like Jesus into the endzone he's going to score. Cutler has to do the same. I think the team that kicks more FGs this game is going to lose.
Of course the Bears have to play defense, and don't think I haven't forgotten that the Bears just aren't that great on pass D. But the Packers aren't that good at running the ball either, and if they can make the Pack one dimensional on offense they greatly improve their chances of getting Rodgers off the field.
It's going to be very hard for the Bears to pull this one off, but like I said, the more I think about how the Bears are set up, the more of a chance I think they have.
