Most consecutive passes thrown without an INT ever. I mean it's one thing for Kosar to do it, and only have like 10 TD passes thrown in that span, but Brady has beaten that record this season with 23 TD passes thrown... what Brady's doing is insane

All these arguments about what the Eagles would be doing w/o Vick or the Pats w/o Brady are stupid as hell. First it's completely hypothetical so you have no way of knowing or proving anything. Second it's pretty obvious that this isn't the criteria people use to choose who gets the award. They usually just do something like hand it to one of the best players on one of the best teams.

I swear everytime an MVP discussion comes up people want to argue back and forth about this and I don't get it. It's not about what the Eagles would be doing without Vick, its about what they have done with him.

Just throwing that out there.. Say what you will about the skill players around Brady, but the Patriots know how to get guys that fit their system. Whatever system they decide to run from year to year. The offensive line gives Brady like 6 seconds to throw the ball almost all the time. It doesn't matter who you have out there, they will get open eventually. These guys just happen to be small and quick and get open fairly easily.

I'm no lover of Matt Cassel, but with how he has played in the past 10 games or so, I'm starting to drink the Kool-Aid. This guy has fire and goes out there and plays his ass off. He reminds me a lot of Brady in that way. They play like every game might be the last one. That's what wins MVPs. Brady will get it this year but watch out for Cassel. If the Chiefs get him a legit WR threat to go with Bowe and another good lineman, he may be the best QB to come out of the entire Pete Carroll USC years.

Matt Cassel is on the most run-oriented team in the league with Jamaal Charles also as a good receiver for him. Moeaki and Bowe are also very good as well. Bradshaw had Stallworth and Swann in addition to a monster running game, the best defense in the league and an offensive line that rivaled the 90s Cowboys.. He put up terrible numbers.. Not sure where the Bradshaw reference came from there..

The Chiefs do have the best running game in football, but it's not like the Patriots can't run the ball. Woodhead averages 5.4 ypc with around 600 yards and Lawfirm is at 4.4 ypc almost pushing 1000. They can run when they want/need to. In contrast, Jamaal Charles is leading the league in rush average at 6.4 ypc and has almost 1400 yards, but Thomas Jones has more carries and is only averaging 3.7 ypc with 880 yards. He does make teams fear the running game a bit more because he can go inside and outside effectively (most of the time) but he isn't out there owning anybody.

Bowe is playing very well this year, but our other receivers are garbage excluding Moeaki the TE. Chambers can barely run a route now, Copper is a 5th string special teams player at best, McCluster is still hurting from the high ankle sprain and Verron Tucker (who?)..

I wanted to see a good game next week with Oakland coming in to Arrowhead, but it doesn't really matter if the Chiefs are the 3rd or 4th seed in my opinion. They're going to have a tough game anyway in the Jets, Steelers or Ravens. I think they should rest up everybody and get ready for whoever is coming to town.

Cassel is having a fine year but don't get carried away. The Chiefs played against the AFC/NFC West and the AFC South this season. Without a doubt, the three softest divisions in all of the NFL - especially defensively. That said, I am a fan of Cassel since he is a USC guy and he deserves credit for this season.

Anyways, the Patriots are in the AFC East. Miami and NYJ are both top 10 defenses that the Patriots face twice. The Patriots also went up against the Ravens and Steelers - who Brady demolished.

Brady is the MVP. He is having one of the finest seasons I've ever seen from a QB. Statistically, sure, we've seen outstanding numbers like his. But if you've actually watched him play this season then I don't see how anyone can say any other QB is playing better than he is. The Patriots' offense took a big change in direction once Moss left, the scheme and gameplan changed but Brady was able to adjust quickly.

He is carving through the top defenses in the NFL with ease, his pre-snap reads, decision making, and accuracy have been nothing short of amazing. And to top it off, his leadership is second to none.

Vick has been awesome, but what Brady is doing is unreal.

I don't understand the rational in discrediting Vick because he has "talent" around him while making it seem as if Brady is playing with a group of guys from the YMCA. At the end of the day Vick is being successful with what he has to work with. I'm not sure what people have been watching, but much of what Vick does goes far beyond who he's playing with and more on him simply making plays. If anyone is an example of an MVP this year it's Vick.

Having said that Brady is surrounded by talent as well and much like Vick it's young talent. However, Brady has also been on the tear as of late......it seems as if he's to use a basketball term....in the zone. I've seen Brady rip several elite defenses apart, but lets not make it seem as if he's doing it all alone. Much like Vick he's making the big play when his team needs it most.

IMO if there is a year when two guys deserve the MVP its this year, because neither player while having great years having separated themselves from each other.
