I actually like Grant. I like his effort and think he's under-rated. But he's from average to a little above average.
 
I simply cannot put Ray Rice in the top 10 based on one fucking season.

Way too many one year wonders in NFL history. I'll give Ronnie the pass because of his injury history, but Ricky has never lost anything even with his multiple hiatuses. If he would have played through all of those seasons, he'd probably be in the top 4 rushers of all time by now.

Anyone remember McClain's "awesome" season the year before with Baltimore???

Ray Rice and MJD are both better receivers and blockers than AP, therefore they get the nod before AP does. Too many people with AP as their #2 RB.
 
1. Chris Johnson - Unbelievable acceleration and vision. Underrated strength.
2. Steven Jackson - I know, I know .. no Peterson here. IMO, Jackson is the more complete back. Fumbled only twice last season compared to 6 for AD, 51 catches as well. Very underrated because of his shitty team.
3. Adrian Peterson - Guy on the list with the most potential to explode for like a 2300 yard season imo. Needs to improve his 3rd down game and stop fumbling.
4. MJD - As a Colts fan this guy scares me more than anyone in our division besides Andre Johnson. Does everything very well.
5. Ray Rice - 78 catches last season. Phenomenal year. If he does it again he could move up a few spots easily.

This list is pretty solid. I agree that after 8 it pretty much falls apart. I mean you either have to talk yourself into Thomas Jones' old ass, "Mr. Boring" Ryan Grant, a 7-game wonder in Jamaal Charles, or perpetually injured Ronnie Brown.
 
I cant fathom making a top 10 list in a league full of part timers.

Jackson gets the nod for being a beast game in and game out . Peterson fluctuates dramatically from game to game he went a huge stretch without a 100 yard game. Even on some of his good days he didnt seem to have much effect on the outcome. Most of all he was highly unreliable because of his rookie level fumbling habit.
Too many strikes on AD.

I may misquote this. No player has run over 85 yards more than 3 times in a career. Chris Johnson had 4 last season.


I cant wait for BigBucs to come in and tell us Steve Jackson is the greatest player in the league because of surrounding talent.

I never said I didn't like Grant. I like him but there's a lot of guys better than he is. Plus most guys on the list can do more than one thing unlike Grant. The main thing I like about Grant tho as a featured back is that he doesn't fumble. Those Ahman Green years were rough.

And I would take any of those top 3-4 guys over Peterson because he is a fumbling machine.

Peyton Hillis, Arian Foster and Ahmad Bradshaw are the 3 who probably made none of the lists but would be in most today

(Bradshaw is borderline top 10 with the likes of McCoy, Gore, SJax, McFadden)
 
Peterson has re-established himself as the #1 back and Thomas Jones is horrible. He gets so little yards after contact in comparison to Jamaal Charles who get's quite a lot of yards after contact.

Way too fucking low. If Jackson isn't in the top 5 something is wrong with people.

Don't look at the numbers on that one, just look at his durability and talent level. He has carried an awful offense for years and years and years. Now the offense is solid, but it's still very young outside of him.
