The hip check button will be the downfall of the team my buddies and I are on in EASHL, they love it WAY too much and it is entirely too inaccurate to use unless you have a guy perfectly lined up, and even then it's kind of iffy. Stick lift is fairly annoying because I've gotten it perfect a few times but the guy keeps skating with the puck without skipping a beat.

I have to turn up the speed 1 notch past the middle point to make it feel realistic. Default level is unrealistically slow.

Scoring is relatively straight forward...execution on the 2 v 1 and 3 v 2 situations is key to scoring. Taking shots from slightly wide of the slot should get you some goals. And then of course, powerplays should end in goals if carried out effectively.

I really suck at this game.
My passing - horrible.
My stick skills deking - horrible.
My goaltender (Carey Price) - allows way too many soft goals, and forget about stopping anyone decent on the sticks.

I always use Montreal and can't wait to face a less than elite team.
New Jersey, New Jersey, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia guy killed me. Scored about 8 seconds into the game, won 5-0, had 3 shorthanded goals.

I really need to work on my offensive game. I refuse to use any team but Montreal, so I'll have to deal with Price.


I hate how effective poke checks and deking are in this game. I also wish the CPU always controlled the goalie where puck freezing is concerned. I am good about freezing the puck myself, but I hate when my online opponents play like four-year-olds and never freeze the puck.

I played NHL 11 today at friends house, on the PS3 though, and I was pretty good at 2 on 2 versus. I was making accurate passes all over the place and I was netting quite a few. Will see how that translates to online
