Its kinda funny as I'm watching all the hockey guys talk about the whole Carcillo/Gaborik thing most of them think Carcillo was just being a moron like normal.

I honestly have to agree. I've stayed quiet about it but Carcillo just needs to stop being a bum. Sure gaborik dropped his gloves but there isn't anything he is going to do. He didn't even throw a punch. I would of just left him alone and laughed while he takes a penalty.

I agree, it wasn't the smartest move by Carcillo. To tell you the truth, if it was Laperriere in that situation, he would of did what you said. He would of backed up, and just let Gaborik take the penalty. Carcillo has grown up a lot since joining the Flyers, he's learning to control his anger more, and he's becoming actually a serviceable player, but he still has some growing up to do.

Yea I have to disagree with you guys on this one, if you see a guy drop his gloves you'd better be ready to throw down, looking back you can say Gaborik didn't even throw a punch. It's all about self defense, if the gloves get dropped start punching before you get punched

Thing you are missing wings is that, the respectable fighters in the league wouldn't have dropped the gloves with him. They may have tied him up or done nothing, but just beat the crack out of him. That is why people call it disrespectful.

And you talk about self-defense. Well walking away is self defense. He could have just joked about it later on and laughed it off. Now he just looks like a bum outside of Flyers fans.

If Carcillo doesn't drop the gloves he's labeled as a pussy and deservedly so.

Gaborik dropped the gloves first, and got his ass kicked for it. Lesson learned.

Edit: And please don't tell me Carcillo is a pussy for fighting Gaborik. He fought Avery later in the night and beat him, too.
