Arroyo with the big time effort in a big spot. He was brilliant. Winding down a very underrated and underappreciated Reds career, this is his signature performance, one night after Latos stepped up and became a Reds "made guy" for life. If the Reds are fortunate enough to win this year, these are legacy cementing performances the last two nights.

And how about Rolen, playing like he's 27 and proving Dusty right.

I don't know how this is going to end, but I love this team.

Updates on Cueto?

If they can manage to get the sweep from Bailey, that would probably be huge to save their rotation. Assume that Cueto is done: who goes in for game 4? Would Latos be ready?

I get the impression that Cueto is going to be fine. Thats what everyone in the Reds camp has been saying...They haven't said who would pitch game 4 yet but it wouldn't surprise me if Cueto pitched it if he's feeling better. If not him, probably Latos.

Ideally Homer Bailey takes care of business tomorrow and we get to give Cueto more time to rest and get ready for the NLCS

Yeah...Cueto probably won't pitch again until the World Series [if we make it].

I would imagine Latos would pitch game 4, Arroyo game 5 if necessary.

As far as the NLCS goes if we get there, looks like my boy :leake: would have to start game 4.

I love Rolen, he is a tremendous fielder still...but his defense for us in the playoffs [2010 and this year] has not been good at all. Very frustrating.

I know he's batting just under .400 in the series, but Votto has done next to nothing in a big spot in this series.

Singles with two outs in the 9th down a million runs are nice, but how about a double in the gap, or even getting on base period, when you come up with men on base in key spots? Two huge AB's today with men on, 0-2, no RBI, one weak fly out and one K.

Votto is the best player on the field. Go 3-4 tomorrow, drive in some runs, and put this team on your back, m'fer. That's what great players do.

I think it's obvious Votto isnt 100%. Doesn't seem like he has the pop I'm used to seeing or he's just struggling.

I never stopped having faith in the Giants and I never will but winning 3 straight in Cincy seems awfully tough especially since the bats are so inconsistent with this team.

Votto hasn't gotten his power back yet, but he is still getting On-Base at a near 50% clip. Like Warner said, he hasn't gotten the big hits...but the TBS announcers make it sound like Votto is on his death bed everytime he is at the plate. They are clueless.

Yeah, i've gotten really tired of that every time he comes to the plate. Votto's slash line after coming back was .316/.505/.421/.926 (yes, I went quad slash).

No HR's, but he hit 8 doubles.

They really make it sound like he's Kirk Gibson limping to the plate in 1988.

There was also a play in Game 1 where Rolen rushed a throw on a bunt attempt that sailed wide by about two feet. I think it was the same play where Phillips made the great diving stop backing Votto up.

What a crazy series. Tough loss for Reds fans. So stoked to watch this team some more. The last 3 games show how tough the Giants can be.
