A lot of people rebuying 360's because of broken ones apparently.:club:

I was listening to a recent CAG cast and Shipwreck was talking about how he has a "back up" 360. He had recently sent off his primary unit (Elite) for repair and sure enough if his secondary 360 didn't break. So what did he say he;s going to do? Heading out to Target to buy a new one. Unreal.

And speaking of broken 360's, my cousin sent his in over three weeks ago and it's still showing in repair status. I can't remember what thread it was but i remember leffan or someone saying it only took theirs less than a week. I find that hard to believe although three weeks is a fucking joke.

i guess that just shows how great the 360 is to game on. People are willing have a backup so they dont lose out on game time. or buy another one rather than a ps3.

IW needs to beef up the servers on MW.....4 million in sales and over 8 million people on the leaderboards....the servers are the worst

It is the truth, and mine was the same. If you remember me and leaf had a "whose will die first" bet going on. His went first and mine went a week later. Both on a Monday. We sent them out Tuesday afternoon and got them back on Friday afternoon on each case.

Though they did just send us referbed machines, we still got an Xbox back in 3 days. We live in Canada, and our shipments went to Toronto (3 hours from us). So it could be that the US is just really slow. Canada just ships you a new box all together. And we win! No RROD since the shipments and that was in September.

And to make it worse I helped someone else do it a couple weeks ago. Theirs took longer then mine this time... only took 4 days.

Mine hasn't RROD or had any problems since it came back either and its been played a fair bit with two people sharing it right now.

No I'm saying its not surprising the thing fails when its that cheap. You buy cheap shit you get cheap quality. You get mad cheap people when all they do is play the stupid thing 5 to 8 hours a day and then it dies after 1000s of hours put into it, but its microsofts fault they couldn't build an industrucble machine!

All I remember is when the 360/PS3 came out it was well its so much cheaper to buy a 360 and the PS3 is just priced to high.... how can they compete!

Well the PS3 is the better build machine because unlike the 360 it didn't use crappy components to make their price point cheaper. Yet leading the head of the pack was ravens complaining about the price and how the 360 dominates because of it.

I've been saying this all along but people still want to just bash the 360 all day but you know if they would put better components in and set the the price similar to the PS3's at launch ($599 was it?) You'd have more and more people whining about the price because the cheap skates didn't want to pay that much.

Its basic electronics and no one seems to remember that.

we already knew tha the hardware is crappy. But being that the whole world knows how shitty the the hardware is and knows the millions of consoles that have failed, but yet still choose to buy a new one or a back up one.

that should tell you how great the experience is on the 360....you even said your ps3 MW2 experience is missing something.

to further make the point i should point out that 2 360's costs about the same as 1 ps3.....so obviously people have more fun with the 360

I will admit that MW2 on the PS3 is getting frustrating. It's like I play two games and the game freezes up. With the most recent patch though stability has gotten better, although the game has been freezing on me lately.

Are you talking about the price it costs to produce the 360 as compared to the PS3 or are you talking about the actual consumer price? If you're talking about the latter, I have no idea where you are buying you're 360s from because the Elite and the PS3 are virtually the same price.

Elites and PS3's are the same price here now. I know the crappy arcades are still rockin below $199. Thats always been my backup plan if my gets something else outside of a Red Ring issue.

I love how when people buy more 360s, it is because of RROD, not because a new game came out that is primarily played online and the 360's online experience DESTROYS the PS3's.

Having played online on both systems, playing the 360 online is 10 times better if not more. Not because of any lag or anything like that, but because of the abundance of players and the fact that mics are far more common on the 360 than on the PS3.

I still love my PS3 and my 360 (no RROD on it in over 2 years), but some of you guys need to just let these numbers go.

I meant moreso that I play a couple games then the lobby gets booted. Yesterday I was having a weird issue where for like 30 seconds after a game occasionally the game acted half frozen. I couldn't navigate any of the menus or even skip the post game stats stuff (new titles, challenges, etc. earned).

That explains it then. I figured there had to be a reason. I didn't know MS had another repair facility so close to you guys. It seems the only one in the U.S. is in Texas.

So what about when it was $400 and was breaking at at an even more alarming rate?
