[ALL] VSN Game of the Year

Back then the LoZ was original. I'm not talking about the entire series dumbass. The first LoZ shits ALL OVER this game. It's not even close. And what's so "Original" about and adventure game? Yeah, a game like TWD has never been done before. Ever.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but top five of ALL TIME is just insanity. It's only my third favorite of this YEAR. Of all time? Maybe in the top 50. Maybe.

Some people are just so short sighted and only seem to remember recent games.

Most of the time I can shake the game off and move onto the next one, but I just consistently keep thinking about TWD. I have been behind on games this year though and there is still a slew of games to be played. That Far Cry 3 thread is making me wish I pre-ordered at Best Buy.

Far Cry 3, Mass Effect 3...

I game tested Far Cry 3 before it came out, it was a solid game but I honestly thought it fell into the category of shooters that will quickly just get's buried. But you're right Twigg, there were plenty of good/great games but not one that stands out as truly amazing. Maybe Borderlands? I played AC3 before it came out as well for the online, it's a good game. I guess I'm comparing it to the goods we've gotten in years past. (Uncharted 2, 3, Skyrim, Battlefield 3 for a shooter, Red Dead Redemption, God of War 3, MOD NATION RACERS etc. etc.) This year is equivalent to the upcoming NFL draft class lol.

Mass Effect 3 is a game I need to get, looks great and loved number 2! BUT you know you fucked up hard on the series when you need to make a patch for a different ending.

Classifying it as a shooter is the problem. It's a game that takes some great things from a few different genres, and mixes them all together.The amazing open-world exploring (which is top notch) and hunting, the crafting and skill trees from RPGs, and then the weapons and weapon modifications from a shooter. Not to mention a damn good antagonist in Vaas. Easily the GOTY in my eyes.

I got around to playing a fair way in to Borderlands 2. Like Borderlands 1, I'm not hooked. I'm not sure what it is about this series, but it just doesn't do it for me. Ah well, the wife is heading back east a week earlier than me, so I'll have plenty of time to finish. Maybe by the end I will be hooked
