Offical Madden 10 Impressions Thread

I never said Madden 09 was the best ever lol. I played it for a few days, and then played NCAA after that

From the games that i have played.

Standing in the pocket it much more realistic now. There are real drop backs and the pocket just forms around you, but if you hold onto the ball like you could in cheesy maddens your either getting hit or sacked. It forces you to make throwing progressions, like a real quarterback.

Running wise, it's not as hard as people make it out to be. Just hold off the turbo and turn it up as soon as you hit the hole. It's going to take a lot of patience and actual skill this year running the ball. Power backs>speed backs so far imo. Brandon Jacobs was a lot more dominating than a player such as Reggie Bush. The rare blend like Stephen Jackson is orgasmic(sorry maynard).

From a personal standpoint, i find stopping the CPU QB pretty hard, robo QB is definitely back in the game. The stats will say Peyton Manning goes 21-31 for 400 yards, but those 10 incompletions are very spaced out, as he becomes impossible to stop once gaining momentum. Yet again, it is pretty easy to stop the CPU run game, but user v user seemed great this year.

Gameplay has been smooth..there is the occasional hiccup coming out of the playcall screen or when a receiver is in motion, but lag free/glitch free so far in-game. Much more animations as you can see, no more motoring around the pocket with the DE.

Definitely the best Madden i've played on the 360.

Yeah this is a bad thread for impressions but I think its a good sign. Guys are glued to the game instead of writing long posted about how this game sucks.

Pretty sweet game so far.

It's more fun than usual with the running game and following blocks.

For the first time since I can remember, the Madden soundtrack is pretty sweet. The commentary sucks but at least the music is nice.

One thing I dislike about a change they made, with replays they immediately stop once a player breaks the plane of the goal line. So you cannot check whether a player dragged his foot in the end zone or only landed one.

CPU can't finish drives, CPU can't run for shit, CPU quarterbacks will throw at least 2 picks per game, no matter what quarterback you play against, more if you actually user pick. You never really have to worry about being in a game, even if you're using the likes of Cincinnati, and you go up against the top teams. The game looks better, plays somewhat better, but it's the same old shit during offline franchise mode.

I played about 11 games, and gave it back to my buddy. I won 10 out of 11, the 11th, which was my loss, was just my fuck around, I'm giving this back today, game.

I wash my hands of Madden and this forum for another year, and move onto NBA 2k10, which I'm hyped about.

2. Do receivers watch the ball into their hands when making over the shoulder catches, or do their heads turn the opposite direction like they did in the Demo nearly everytime?

Not sure bout 2 but as far as injuries go...

by real time you mean exactly what? I've had Brandon Jacobs get injured pretty often. Sometimes he'll be dinged up for a few series', once I lost him for the rest of the game.
