Kings MAY, MAAAAY sneak into the 8th seed in the West.

You guys are going to be pretty awful.

No Way,,,we are going to be very much improved. Should make a run at the 8th spot if everyone is healthy.

We've played really well in the pre-season, everyone has roles now with Keith Smart. Great additions with D.Wright, and David Lee. Brandon Wright is healthy. Charlie Bell playing defense.

The most underrated and perhaps best kept secret in the NBA Reggie Williams back this year after averaging 15 pts, 5 rbs, and 3 assists a game. Beans is also healthy and doesn;t have Nellie on his a$$. Plus the folk hero Jeremy Lin!!! Oh yea and we got that Monta and Curry dudes too.

Should be a year of improvement for us. 30+ wins, maybe low to mid 40 range. That isn't awful.

Yeah looking more at the team... awful may be a little harsh.

Getting rid of Nelson is going to help out a lot. The health of Ellis as well. It's a good little squad, I'm just not sure defensively how they'll fare. The West is slightly down this year, so if there is a year to sneak into the playoffs it's this one.

I know Basketball Prospectus projected them to have 49 wins, which I think is way high but I guess looking more at them it's very possible they can at least get to 37-45.

They are a good team on paper. Not really sure how the bench will perform, but I have a feeling they won't live up to any hype. Depends on the coach philosophy this year though. I see about 38-40 wins for them.

Depending on Yao's health the Rockets are a decent sleeper team in the West.

Of course they don't contend for a title but they can be a pretty solid team with a good Yao and a relatively healthy Kevin Martin.

Agreed, this team is a big time darkhorse in the West. Kevin Martin is a prolific scorer, he can get you 8-12 buckets a game and get to the free throw line with the best of them. Having him for an entire season is going to help enormously.

Aaron Brooks took a step forward last year, snabbing the most improved player and shooting lights out from 3. He was a fantastic shooter and creator for the offense when they needed him the most, I only expect him to get better. Speaking of MIP, I think Budinger has a chance to keep that award in Houston for two straight years. When Ariza and Battier got hit with the injury bug, Chase stepping in and played great.. iirc he averaged around 18PPG. Not bad for a rookie with very limited time before that.

In the end, the Rockets will be competitive. They have Rick Adelman as the coach, he is wonderful at getting the best out of what he has. Look at what he's done over the course of his career, dealing with injuries to his big stars in Sacramento and Houston yet still finding a way to make the playoffs. In no way am I saying this team will win the championship, but I wouldn't count them out of making the playoffs.

Can not wait to see the Bulls tomorrow night, sucks that Boozer is out, but we gotta deal with it.

I am more worried about Curry, then Ellis. Ellis seem to come back from his injury last year just fine. Monta was insane last Friday vs. the Lakers/

Curry bas been bothered by a left ankle injury since he injured it in the World Basketball Championships. Then he injured his right ankle in Thurs game vs. the Lakers and sat out Friday nights game.

I'm excited for this year..last year, i didn't think the Thunder stood much of a chance,but they fought their way through and gave the Lakers a scare. I just wish that there was a solid big man on the team..Krstic isn't going to get the job done, and while he has a bit of potential, Aldrich is still young.
