This is game is amazing but FUCK is it hard. in 5 min quarters on All Star I lose by 10-15 points.

The NBA today shit is incredible though!. But Jeff is right you ACTUALLY really need to practice and shit otherwise you have no fucking chance.

Yep, took me over a week of lab work to figure out what to do. I had to get out of the habit of passing to player engaged with a defender. Plus there are so many plays to go over. This is the kind of shit I want from Madden.

I use Real Player FG%.

Last night to start the game, I hit my first 12 shots with Jameer Nelson. All in the first quarter. I ended up with 28 points in the first with just him. Could NOT miss..I was pumped.

This shit is awesome. They have authentic arena sounds for every stadium, and set playlists. Use the readme to set everything up correctly, but if you put the time in its great.

Also, its worth noting that this is pretty much set up to stream from your PC. If you dont have media streaming set up, you can try to burn the files to a CD and rip them to your HDD, but there are hundreds of files so its going to take several disks since most programs that burn CDs can only do 99 tracks.

Question about shot stick timing vs. real shooting %.

I cant hit jumpers to save my life, especially 3 pointers. I use the T'Wolves, and I get virtually all of my points in the paint off pick and rolls. I am shooting under 20% from 3 for the season, about 10 games in.

With real shooting %, your release point is 100% meaningless, is this correct? And with release point, do the player ratings matter at all? Im thinking my release points are just all screwed up.

Shot stick timing takes into consideration player ratings, type of shot, how open the player is, and how well you time the release. Real shooting % uses everything but the timing of the release.

I actually think real shooting % is more difficult because you can't gain an advantage by mastering a player's signature shot...but if you're having problems with release points it might be better since those becomes irrelevant.

Yeah, I don;t even bother shooting with Brewer. Luke Ridnour is the worst, though.

The newest patch really fucked up the shooting in the game, they made it less forgiving. 2K has said they made it so the occassional lag won't mess up shots but you have to get the shot dead on perfect most of the time to make it now.

If you want to see how your doing with ya jumpers, there's a setting you can have the game tell you if your shooting them correct and on time...it's somewhere in the settings I believe.

That's why I prefer it. It's more realistic, otherwise I'd hardly miss with Wilson Chandler, and he's not a great jump shooter IRL.

You miss some, and you make some. Not every shot is dead on. I have no problems with the shot stick and I play on superstar. and btw...kobe has the hardest shot release in the game and I shoot a high percentage with him in the midrange and 3 point game.
