This is the best I've seen the team look since I've been watching them.

The offense is balanced, I don't put much into stomping a mudhole in the awful Browns, but 30+ points in three straight games isn't a fluke. This offense is definitely for real. If the defense plays like it did today most of the year, we'll only lose 2-3 games TOPS.

After 3 weeks the Ravens look like the team to beat in the AFC.

Yea and if Pitt keeps dropping all there easy games, we are gonna have smooth sailing into the AFC North Title.

Optimistically, I think we still should win the division. I can't see Cincy sweeping Us or Pitt and after there game against Cleveland, I'd be surprised if they swept them.

We do have a tough schedule ahead still though.

It depends on our secondary stepping up. The QBs we play from here on are no joke. Foxworthless has been awful, and Landry should probably have been replaced a couple weeks ago by Nakamura. Carr has been horrid all around and needs to be replaced with Webb - thankfully he already has been at KR. On the bright side, Fabian has been pretty good.

If Mattison would actually blitz more than two times a game, it'd probably help them out too.

... That would be awesome... but 2 bad things...

1. He is top 5-10 in the league in dropped passes (so you think Clayton is bad...)
2. Who are we giving up for the Chiefs main receiver and a 1k a year potentially receiver.

I heard a 2nd round pick on baltimoresun.com, but I dunno if that is true or not. I think it's all rumor right now and maybe more than a little bit of wishful thinking by most fans. I can live with the drops if he can get open consistently...which Clayton doesn't really do, at least CONSISTENTLY, and Mason got complete shut down last week.

I think this whole thing depends on how they play this weekend. If they come out and are getting open all over for Flacco, then I think they'll stand pat. If they come out and get shut down again like they did last week, I think things will heat up on Monday and Tuesday up until the deadline.

Yea,I just got a text from a buddy of mine sayingAccording to multiple sources, Ravens are discussing a deal with the Chiefs for Dwayne Bowe for a 2nd and a 5th round pick in 2010 Draft.

Where is he getting this info from?I see you guys are saying same thing

First place I saw it. I think though, it's from Schefter and/or Peter King and/or any of the other "insiders" saying we should do it, not that we are actually going to do it.

If all it took was a 2nd and a 5th, christ, fucking do that right now. We have never been able to pick a really dominant WR, which Bowe can be, in the draft. Regardless of our individual feelings on Clayton, I don't think anyone would argue that he is a real consistently dominant receiver. Bowe is also still on his rookie deal so he wouldn't break the bank yet either.

Yeah, probably still wishful thinking. We'll probably end up waiting until the offseason to go after a WR...well, we'll have to, since Mason, Clayton, and Washington are all FA. Mason will probably retire, I dunno if they'll bring Clayton back or not, and I think they'll keep Washington around, but he's just a 3 or borderline 2.

To be honest I think we need to go after Derrick Johnson/Dunta Robinson then Bowe. Don't get me wrong I love Bowe, I have to watch him every sunday.

But Our linebackers are depleted because of injury (specially at ILB), Derrick Johnson was benched by the Chiefs... BENCHED! that mufucka is a sure starter and hopefully will get traded out of Kansas City.

Then Dunta Robinson has been having problems with the texans regarding his contract, we need a upgrade at corner, cuz while Fabian is doing good, dominique is horrible.


Unfortunately I've only heard Robinson and Bowe in talks with Baltimore.

Yeah I saw that on Jay Glazer's Twitter yesterday, but he said Buffalo didn't want to trade him. Too bad. Owens could help this team and we could just not re-sign him in the offseason if we wanted.

Although after yesterday I'm leaning towards the idea that any move we make should be for a DB and not a WR...I'd certainly take the WR though...

Also have to mention that our pass rush sucks ass. We paid Suggs alot of money for alot of nothing to this point. I want more than 2.5 sacks out of a guy we paid 60mil to.

What do you think about Michael Oher? He dominated Jared Allen and his 100mil yesterday. Look at the 2 huge Ray Rice runs, Oher moves Allen around like a little rag doll on both plays. He gave up a sack in the 4th, but that was on a screen play and he was suppose to allow pressure.

Ravens cut Steve Hauschka today, which should be a surprise to nobody.

Relying on a kicker like Hauschka on a team that had high hopes was a mistake from the start. Not keeping Stover is perhaps the biggest blunder the Ravens have ever made, and I'm dead serious. They would legitimately be 6-3 right now with Stover, he doesn't miss that kick in Minnesota - possibly 7-2, because that missed kick @ Cincy was a game changer. We would have only been down a TD and had plenty of time left.

No idea who our K will be moving forward. Reports say Cundiff or Mike Nugent, but whatever. They shouldn't even be in the situation. They really needed to get rid of Stover for Frank Walker or LJ Smith or Demetrius Williams or any number of these other guys who barely see the field?

Dumb, dumb, dumb.

BTW, Michael Oher is a beast. He seems to be struggling a bit now but man, he's going to be good. I think having to move to LT then moving back to RT fucked him up a bit, but the entire OL is playing like shit right now.

Well, the defense has certainly turned it around. It's a damn shame the offense has gone right in the shitter.

I know Rice is our best player offensively, without question, and he's an awesome player, but Flacco has got to stop looking at Mason, seeing he's covered, then throwing it two yards to Rice. It happens on every single passing play. I can't even really trash Clayton and the other WRs anymore, because whether they are open or not, Flacco doesn't even seem to look at them. He's definitely regressed a bit.

This is a stunning little tidbit....

In the past three games, just 11 of Flacco's last 75 passes have gone to someone other than Mason or Rice.
