- Looks like a good team in this thread, but don't believe it. They allow 23.5 pts per game and only score 19.9. They have one of the bottom 5 defenses in the NFL

Steelers (6-4)
- 1 game up on us, but we play them twice and the winner will take second in division

Broncos (6-4)
- 1 game up on Ravens, but we own the tie breaker

Ravens (5-4)
- Owns a tie breaker with the Chargers and Broncos

Texans (5-5)
- One of the top offenses in the NFL... with a defense that lets teams run AND throw on them. Won't last imo. Pats/Colts will nail their coffin lid shut.

personally I think we win all the rest of our games and drop the last game to Pitt. Good thing is the first time we don't play Big Ben. So I have us finishing 10-6 and we own tie breakers against Broncos and Chargers.

Now we are in the easy half of our schedule. I honestly think we can win out.

Beat Greenbay on monday night and then Pittsburgh again and we should be smooth sailing.

I don't think we'll win out...Green Bay is going to be tough, with how Rodgers is playing and how depleted our secondary is, it could get ugly. Our starting four now with the exception of Foxworthless is playing well, but when they go three and four wide you get into the Carrwrecks and the Walkallovers of the world and that ain't good.

Detroit and Chicago should be easy wins at home, and there is no reason we should lose to Oakland...we need to get at least one of the GB or Pitt games to have a shot. Rather lose to GB and beat Pitt, but I think it's more likely we beat GB and lose to Pitt.

Losing Webb is probably the biggest loss outside of Flacco & Rice this team could have. Both because he was by far our best CB to this point and because of how big the dropoff is from him to Frank Walker and Chris Carr.

Just a huge, huge loss. What sucks even more is that IF he makes it back in time for Week 1 next year, he's not going to be near 100%.

Oh well. We need Foxworth to step it up BIG TIME because the other guys are going to need a ton of help from our safeties.

Foxworth is still shit, those two interceptions were more cutlulz then Foxworth.

Walker is a PI machine.

Carr is a decent nickle, but nothing more.

Corey Ivy was huge for us last year with 40+ tackles and some sacks. Not a big int guy, but he will make plays in run support.

Ivy was probably the best addition. I was told (by a family member in Baltimore) that we were signing C-Mac, then I heard Ivy. Now that someones inked it in, we have some hope.

I can actually see us winning with these corners. Specially with T-Sizzle coming back and taking up 2 line-man every down.

What do you guys think about the Oakland game? Do we win and get into the playoffs or is it offseason time?

Personally I think if we can get in, we will be just like last year. Underdawg every game and knock out every team up till Indy.

However, if we win... I say we win the superbowl, because (IMO) only they can knock us out.

Campbell in general, statistically, wasn't awful last year. I actually think Zorn can do some good for Flacco, he was a good QB coach up in Seattle working with Hasselbeck.

I hope we draft heavy on defense. Maybe a C, TE, and/or WR somewhere, but the focus should be on getting a pass rusher and a DB. I would not oppose Gresham if he was available but I would rather have a DE...lets get that pass rush back to where it needs to be.

I don't know a lot about the defensive prospects, I had mostly been reading up on the WRs and TEs. I have heard of Witherspoon. Would like him. CB or DE, but I think you are right, the team would take Gresham if he is there and I would be fine with that. The offense would be beast then.

It's my hope that Suggs actually turns it around this year. He is at the voluntary stuff so that is a good sign. We need him to be that pressure guy.

We look so good. When I was at the game last night I was just thinking, where are the weaknesses? The team has none. The so called "terrible" secondary looked good with Carr and Washington healthy and it's only going to get better now that Webb and Reed look on pace to play in the opener.

But man, that passing offense is what got me. If that translates into the regular season when we start mixing in the run too...

Yea, but we are a bit injury prone.

We just lost Stallworth till week 8 and Mark Clayton had a small concussion. The sad thing is those are our "healthy" receivers. Mason is gonna get injured eventually, the season plagues his body every year and Boldin is well... Boldin. I think in his career he's only played like 2-3 full seasons.

We need to stay healthy.

With the injury to Stallworth though, I think we are going to carry a 6th and 7th receiver. (one on the practice squad).

Marcus Smith looked good, but who is getting those spots?

Mason hasn't missed a game since he's been with the Ravens IIRC, even in 08 when he was playing with one arm, so not too worried about him. I would guess Marcus Smith and David Reed will make it, I think the team is fed up with Demetrius Williams act although I still wouldn't be surprised if he ended up making it.

Even with the blow to the WRs with Stallworth's injury, the team still has a ton of weapons to throw at teams, three starting quality backs, a few really good looking TEs, etc. They have alot of depth this year offensively, moreso than any time in recent memory.

The matchup problems we can throw out there are crazy this year. Red zone shouldn't be an issue now that we can put Heap, Dickson, Pitta, and Boldin out there together...need a 3rd down conversion? Throw out Boldin, Heap, Mason, Clayton, have Rice or McGahee in too, there is so much stuff they can do with the players they have now. I'm really excited.
