Official NBA 2K13 Thread

Didn't buy the game today. Still playing a lot of Fifa 13 and F1 2012. Wanna see how the reviews play out on this game.
Really won't get into the NBA mood until the season hits ... then I get 2k13 and lose a lot with my Raptors.

Now when I try to play a game, I lose the commentary midway through, and when I pause, it freezes. Same bs happened with 2K11.

I'm on the verge of taking this shit back. Great job 2k.

^ Yes I checked OS and other sites. Lot of problems with freezing and other bugs/glitches. This is straight bullshit man. If 2k doesn't patch this ASAP, I'm getting my money back and stick with 2K11 another year.

It's essentially grabbing the internal files and manipulating them to edit rosters, arenas, jerseys, etc. It's nothing losers like you and I can do but download a hex-edited roster from 2k12 and be amazed.

Yeah, it's not the most visual appealing thing ever. It's breaking into the code of the game to edit rosters more efficiently. As opposed to just moving players to different teams you can change shot styles of each player, make their faces better, change jerseys, change arenas, etc.

I was on my way out to buy the game, glad i stopped in this thread first.

jeffx cant even play his copy, others can't start/save an association without jumping through hoops.

Somebody let me know when I can buy the game, play it, and save it, with no issues.

NBA Live '95 didn't have these problems, yet it's 2012 and these games are always a fucking disaster out of the box.

Also, last year the game forced me to create a "my player" before I could play online or do other things. That annoyed me.

Can you still not screen opponents before you play them online? Do they show stats now? Killed online for me in the past.

I had no issues in the one game I played except that I let Rudy Gay drop 28 on me :smh:. It'll take me a little bit to get used to the new controls, but I liked the game I played. Seeing Harden run down the court with his 3's down low was cool. Gotta practice post moves..last year I killed it, but the new controls threw me off and I only had 9 points with Ibaka.

There's no need to practice on low post moves with Perkins and Ibaka.....LOL!

Looks like they stole the code from NCAA 13 because that game does the same damn thing every time i go to play a game.

don't they realise people over 30 play these f'n things? It took me YEARS to figure out the old controls. Playing 2K was like trying to fly a fighter jet to begin with.

That game had the FT glitch (played on Sega Genesis)...you would go to the FT line and it would give you endless FT. Seemed cool at first because I was down but got old real fast and had to start game over everytime. Also association save files would delete; I remember being 50 something and 0 and had the save deleted. Despite this...still my favorite basketball game but it might have been because I was only 16.
