Your original post expressed a complaint in the neglect to the series' gameplay and real football features as opposed to the "bells and whistles" casual gamers pick up games for. I was simply stating that NCAA 11 saw drastic improvements in gameplay and felt like real football as much as any football game has for some time. Your complaints come without merit if you can't admit that.

I've never played NCAA 10 so I can't compare NCAA 11 to it. Last NCAA I played before 11 was 06, and gameplay wise it isn't the jump I'd expect to see over 5 years. The gameplay in 11 is really suspect, if that's a drastic improvement over NCAA 10 I'm glad I never played that game.

It doesn't make my complaints have any less merit, either the gameplay is realistic or it isn't. I'm not gonna congratulate EA for making the "most realistic" football game this gen when they essentially make the only football game this gen.

This is the same play the Hogs used to score a touchdown on the third play of the game against Alabama last season. The concept known as “Shark” in the Arkansas terminology uses a shallow cross/dig combination in the middle of the field and a post/wheel combination on the outside.

Improvement is improvement man. Did you bitch this much when Techmo Bowl or Madden '92 came out? It's a video game and it is making progress. Jesus.

Aside from suspect play calling and broken defensive backfield AI the game isn't that unrealistic.

3-4 Predator Cover 2 Sink – The 3-4 Predator is a defensive set that calls for the right outside linebacker to align in a three point stance. This gives teams that base out of the 3-4 the ability to get into a 4-3 look. Cover 2 Sink has both corners getting depth on their zone drops in order to take away the natural void in Cover 2 between the safeties and cornerbacks.

I-Form Twins UK Fade Smash – I-Form Twins UK Fade Smash is a unique way that Kentucky likes to run the smash concept. In the traditional smash concept the slot receiver runs a corner route. The Wildcats like to use a fade route which gets the slot receiver near the same deep area of the field as if he were running a corner route.

The post route is the first read in the progression and if open the ball should be thrown there. 4-2-5 Under Slide Rover Wk Dog – 4-2-5 Under Slide is a new defensive formation for NCAA Football 12. This defensive look from the 4-2-5 calls for the secondary to align in a two deep look with one cornerback aligned tight and the other aligned in a loose technique. Rover Wk Dog is a pressure scheme that allows the defense to rush four defenders at the weak side of the offense.

I was thinking about jumping to the 4-3 next year, but with the new 4-2-5 formations I might stick around. :elephant:
