Plus all the mounting injuries. Now you have confidence issues and a team that is looking at being out of the playoffs by week 4. Eli is forcing balls now to just try and make something happen and that has never worked out for him in the past.

IMO, Coughlin needs to voluntarily leave before he is fired. Sometimes, the messages that a HC sends become old and stale and players start to tune a HC out. It happens.

The Giants don't have the talent they used to have. No Osi. No Strahan. No running game. Eli can't do it all by himself. He needs help.

Giants to make trade for Carolina LB Jon Beason

The Giants have spent the last two years experimenting with reclamation projects at linebacker. And now, they may have another one.

On Thursday night, the Giants were close to a deal with the Carolina Panthers that would bring them linebacker Jon Beason in exchange for a late-round 2014 draft pick, according to three NFL sources. One source said Beason had already been informed of the deal and was preparing to head to New Jersey. According to another source, the deal, which is believed to be for a seventh-rounder, won’t become official until Beason takes a physical, which would come Friday.
It would be the third time in two seasons that the Giants are gambling on an ex-first round pick at linebacker. Last season, they acquired Keith Rivers from the Bengals, and he has developed into a starter. Earlier this year, they signed former Seahawk Aaron Curry, the No. 4 pick in the 2011 draft, only to cut him midway through training camp.

Beason was a 2007 first-round pick of Carolina and is a former Pro Bowl linebacker. Since 2011 he has torn his left Achilles tendon and endured microfracture surgery on his right knee, a procedure that routinely robs players of their quickness. Beason is earning around $1 million.

You know he should, pass protect for himself, don't drop well placed balls, run the ball efficiently, go for it on 4th and 1 from his own 32, heal A. Brown and S. Brown, draft good linebackers, play linebacker, generate a pash rush, he do all those things he'd be golden

right in the face. Good teams are built on strong Oline and Dlines. Now the Dline is supposed to be good. I am not sure whats wrong with them. The online...needs new young talent.

The Giants OL is terrible.

The left tackle, Beatty is so bad. Pugh, who should be a guard anyway, lining up on the right side is just terrible use of personnel.

Giants should have put in a better offer for Eugene Monroe.

O-Line played a hell of a lot better last week. Diehl is coming back this week so they should only get better. Can't wait to cut that bum Bass who has sat on the bench with injuries more than hes been on the field since hes signed with the Giants.

Chris Snee needs season-ending (and possibly career-ending) hip surgery

Chris Snee, a veteran of two Super Bowls and a fixture on the Giants' offensive line for the last decade, needs season-ending surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right hip, and because of that he may have played his last game in the NFL.

The 31-year-old Pro Bowl guard suffered the injury at some point during the Giants first few games of the season, and it turned out to be a near mirror image of the injury he fought through last season on the other side of his body. That injury required surgery, and playing through it was so painful that he admitted thinking about retirement.

According to a source familiar with Snee's thinking, he hasn't given much thought to his long-term future yet. He is signed through the 2014 season, though. It's unclear if the Giants would welcome him back, though if they did it would likely be at a drastic reduction of the $7.2 million salary he's currently scheduled to earn.

Snee had hoped to play again this season, but a source said last week he "couldn't move" which is why he couldn't play in the Giants' 31-7 loss in Kansas City last Sunday. There was slight improvement early in the week, but not nearly enough to give anyone much hope. Given the extreme pain he was in, according to a source, doctors advised him to have the torn labrum repaired and bone chips removed.

When the move is officially made, it will clear a roster spot for linebacker Jon Beason, whom the Giants' acquired on Thursday night.

Giants haven't been this bad in years....0-5.....forget about playoffs. No running game, Eli's playing like a rookie, and the Giants haven't had a pass rush since 2011.

I agree 100%.. Gilbride needs to go right now to wake up this team. That dam shotgun draw get's on my last nerve. I think Fewel is not that bad. If we had LB's and the offense managed to sustain a long drive. Reese is in trouble. Did you see that LB the Jets got in the 3rd last night. Dude has led the team in tackles and he was drafted in the 3rd round. We need to take some fliers on some Fast LB's.

Methinks the two Super Bowls they won with rosters that weren't all that imposing on paper gave Reese a false sense of security......he thought he could plug anyone in there off the scrap heap and we'd win but that's not the case this year.....seems like the Patriots are the only team that can use that forumula and be successful.....
