Gonna be a great but long two weeks of 18-1 highlights. What a fucking win. Not the greatest way to win but we did deserve that. Props to the niners defense, was waiting for the Eli drive for the win we are so accustomed to but they didn't budge. Woooooo giants!!

wooooo what a game. i dont know about all of you but i must of had about a dozen heart attacks during the game. all props go to the defense and special teams. defense played great (besides the two bad catches they let up to vernon davis) and the special teams sure as hell picked a good time to finally show up. that could very well be the worst the offensive line has played all year. eli was getting killed back in the pocket but came through when he had to.

thrilling game yes....we better tighten up on some of those bad penalties though. I am afraid of playing in a dome....the Giants have been exposed in the dome numerous times. I would rather be outside in the elements.

lmao - Bob Papa was at a bar in San Fran the night before the game with a bunch of Giants fans. I think Ottis Anderson and Rodney Hampton were there too (BBI said so). Someone shot a video of Papa on top of the bar rallying the crowd.

This is basically the same defense who was the toast of the league before that 2nd half against the Eagles blew up our season

You add an improved JPP to the mix and they will be fucking up QBs again like last year

I hope we get back to that traditional Giants style, grind it out offense, not too flashy, and smash people with the defense

Better Osi gets the knee fixed up now and it sounds like he'll only miss a game or two of the regular season. I'm starting to get optimistic about the Giants again. Its more or less the same team that went 10-6 last year and probably should have been better. As long as we dont turn the ball over at the ridicolous rate that we did last year.

If last years team cut the turnovers, even by a 4th or 3rd...they're easily a playoff team.

Of course, if last year's team can stop Vick on third down at least once in the final 7 or so minutes of that game...they're a playoff team.

I'm not hearing good things about Victor Cruz or Ramses Barden from the Giants beat reporter on WFAN.

I went to camp on Friday and Cruz was dropping passes left and right and running poor routes. Manningham was also dropping passes.

The new TE and Nicks were the only ones consistently catching balls.

You guys should hold out hope......the Packers had a lot of injuries last year. Anyways, that my only offer of providing hope that I can think of. :ionno:

Travis Beckum shows me nothing.

Ross has looked pretty good in coverage so far. He's really going to have to step up this season

I think he misses Boss and Smith. He needs a good route running slot guy.

That's what I keep telling these Giant fans. You can't take away such reliable weapons and not have it affect Eli, especially when accuracy is not his strong suit. Losing Boss and Smith will come back to haunt this team...book it.

I know one thing, Giant fans need to quit crying over Smith and Boss...they're gone and they ain't coming back....that cannot be the crutch for a bad season....Eli ain't the first QB to lose key players on offense

True but I dont expect him to be better than last year....how could he be? No one one will be open and he will force it in again.....either that or take 40 sacks. He needs weapons, he is not able to do it all by himself.

He threw 25 INTs last year with Boss and Smith.....

Jacobs cant stay healthy

I am not sold on Mario yet....he seems to be a nice deep threat but I dont trust him as a decent route runner and his hands are iffy.

They have no TE....Ballard is the only one that looks decent.

Cruz and Hixon and #4 and #5 WR at best.

He's an idiot most of the time. When will Tom Coughlin wake the fuck up and read Gilbride the riot act? Only ONE touch for Jacobs in the second half??? And why is Eli still having communication issues with the WRs? Same shit as last year and this pre-season.

Yeah would be nice if they went back to the old way of using Jacobs and Bradshaw.......pound Jacobs early in the game, use Bradshaw later in the game....much more effective that way....this subbing back and forth isn't allowing either guy to establish any kind of rhythm with the O-Line because they have different running styles

Giants offense fucking sucks - shaky o-line, can't get third downs, receivers dropping the ball. I don't know how some of you cats thought the Giants were going to make noise this season with so many holes on the team. They're only up 7-6 on the fucking Rams. What's going to happen when the sked gets tougher?

Not going to happen. Dude, look at who the Giants have at TE. They all suck, and Jerry Reese deserves a big hit here. I understand they didn't want to overpay Boss(plus they were concerned about his concussions), but they should have been better prepared. How could Reese be confident about what he had at TE going into the season? Travis Beckum? Dude is useless even on the rare occasions when he is healthy. The lack of talent at TE will haunt this team the entire season.

Right now, Giants are just an average team.

When a team has a passing field day against your defense AND when those receivers are Denario Alexander, Mike SW, and Brandon Gibson, your defense is HORRIBLE. How are we supposed to handle DJack, Maclin, Avant and Celek? If Kafka plays, we lose by 3-13, if Vick plays, we lose by 20+.

Run D, stout. Line looked great. Tuck and JPP made some plays and Canty and Rocky look very very solid. Also great job by front 7 on knocking balls down at the line of scrimmage.

PotG, Boley. Great heads up play picking the ball up and running it in. Also saved a sure TD with his tip ball on 3rd and goal (which Ross once again got crushed and was very lucky not to be hit with another TD, fuck you).

Eli looked terrible. Shitty throws all day including the pick on the first drive (atrocious throw on what should of been a walk in td for Manningham), the underthrown deep seem down the middle to Manningham (which Eli said came out of his hand funny, NOT acceptable), and then the numerous other shitty throws. Eli is doing terrible when pressured, and unfortunately our suspect line leads to this being too often.

Special teams, good job Weatherford on all but 1 punt, even pinned them at the 5 which was negated by a very uncharacteristic personal foul by Zak Deossie.

Run game, meh.

NEED the tight end(s) to become a bigger part of the offense. Almost all of the Giants completions were on the outside of the field, never really attacking the middle. We have to use our tight ends this weekend like the Falcs did with Tony Gonzalez, only way to beat the Eagles.

Playcalling, SUCKED in the first half. Seemed like at one point we had 5 straight 3 and outs. Of course we drive down and score in the final 2 minutes of the first half. Eli has historically thrived in 2 minute situations and today was no different. It's like his confidence raises immensely when the field is spread out and he gets in that no huddle offense.

Last things:
-Fucking great red zone D
-Fucking love Hixon, who was supposedly riffed by the Stokley signing just because he didn't feel like he got a chance from the giants yet


Overall, fun game. Roger Godell, Issac Bruce, AP and Toomer all walked passed 15 yards in front of me, that was cool.

This is a true non playoff year. I am not expecting more than 6 wins. Can you imagine what Tom Brady is going to do to this secondary?
