A loss to Dallas by a touchdown.
A loss to Philly by 2 points
A loss to Washington by 1 point.
If any one of them went in the win column, the Giants are playoff bound and who knows what happens.
The team never lost more than 2 consecutive games and were blown out 3 times, twice against AFC teams…..all three on the road.
This is no doubt going to be painful to look back on for Coughlin and the coaches. Fewell's deal is up I think but since he's unlikely to get a head coaching gig, it's probably safe to assume he's brought back. (UPDATE) Ralph V confirmed that Fewell's deal ends next year. He was "quietly" given an extension after the Super Bowl win.
SOME FREE AGENTS
WR Victor Cruz - restricted, can't imagine them letting him walk
WR Domenik Hixon - played well in variety of spots, worth bringing back
WR Ramses Barden - sorry Rhude, he's done
TE Martellus Bennett - great receiver/blocker, says he wants to be back
OT Will Beatty
G Kevin Boothe
DE Osi Umenyiora - Unlikely Reese & Osi agree on new $$$
MLB Chase Blackburn - Can't see them finding a replacement and he knows the system
OLB Keith Rivers
S Kenny Phillips - Played in about 7 games, makes an impact but can they count on him?
S Stevie Brown - If not for all his takeaways, ouch. May compete for starting safety spot this summer
K Lawrence Tynes - Most FG's made this year of his career, 8 for 12 from 40+
CANDIDATES FOR CUTS
CB Corey Webster - Owed $7M, definitely didn't play like it in 2012
OL David Diehl - Owed $4.1M, his best days are behind him
DE Justin Tuck - Owed $4.5M, certainly did not play worth that much in 2012
LB Michael Boley - Owed $4.25M, big drop off this past season
Giants will draft in the late teens, early 20s range. They haven't addressed the OL with high picks in the draft, and if Osi/Tuck are questionable, obviously a fresh pass rusher could be a priority.
