What does it all mean? With PS Vita TV, you can play PS4 and Vita games on any HDTV in the house. When you're home, put Killzone Mercenary on the big-screen. When your significant other wants to watch Bar Rescue on the living room TV, take this tiny device to the bedroom and play inFAMOUS: Second Son where you left off. The convenience and portability of PS Vita TV will be like having a PS4 for every TV you own and a Vita with HDMI out. You'll never be without entertainment, whether it takes the form of blockbuster games, stellar indie titles, the latest movies and TV shows, or streaming music.

That's not even considering possibilities outside the home. Remote Play works over any internet connection, so the days of lugging your PS4 to LAN parties and home for the holidays are over. The video quality on that second TV if you are on your home network will probably be decent but I doubt it is much more than a pixelated SD mess over WiFi away from home.

Net-net, should be decent at your house but a hot mess in remote mode.

Remote Play on the Vita from PS3 is surprisingly good. For the games that work that is. Also Gaikai is responsible for remote to take a significant portion of required bandwidth away from the system itself.

The kid turns on the PS4 and imaginary waves are shown from the controller to the PSV TV and the PSV TV to the PS4....with the tv playing a game. That is what confused me the 1st time I saw it.

Most people will probably use it over local. Making that statement correct. Nowhere in that statement does it say it can't be done over internet just like the handheld console it is the same as. I will happily show you how its done on the Vita. Vita TV IS a Vita and will do everything a Vita does and more.

Only games that won't be able to be played are ones that require the touchscreen or camera. If it can have an alternate control scheme then it will work.

This is a $100 micro-console that has the processing power of the PS Vita and plugs into your HDTV. A bundle with an 8GB memory card and a DualShock 3 controller will be available for about $150. Like the Vita, it can play downloaded PSP and PSOne games, and has a game card slot so you can play physical Vita games as well as downloaded titles. It can also play PlayStation 4 games through Remote Play, if the system is connected to a different HDTV in the house.

I don't know if this is these guys' MO, but this looks like trolling. The HDMI capture problems have been known since Sony released the official specs for the PS4, and the other stuff they mention are either outright lies or half-truths.

Vita TV not planned for US, EU market as yet; can 'technically' stream PS3 games

A round-table interview with Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House has filled in a few more details about the PlayStation Vita TV microconsole. Engadget's takeaway was that the little console could "technically" support PS3 titles through the same cloud-based streaming available to the PlayStation 4. That's not a stretch, since Vita TV can stream PS4 games, but it's the first we've heard of it.

As for Vita TV's availability in other regions, the device will launch November 14 in Japan and then creep across to the Asian continent, with releases planned for China and South Korea. House says it's not planned for the US or European markets at this point.

Sony recently released a Vita TV compatibility list, so have a look to determine which games are supported through it.
