Yeah that was a terrible play call. Happens every week, but it never ceases to amaze me how teams refuse to run the ball on 2 pointers. There is some rule apparently that you have to pass it in.
They pounded it for 10 straight plays, only to go shotgun 3-wide and leave it in the hands of their 11th best offensive player. Curious call, but doesn't diminish TCU's effort.

I guarantee you that half these voters actually thought Wisconsin would win. I thought they would kick major Frog ass. I guessed that TCU would score first and take an early 14-0 lead, then Wisconsin would come down and win by 2 touchdowns.
While I think running the ball was a better option on the 2pt conversion. The play call wasn't horrible and the execution was good. The WR was wide open and without an amazing play by the LB, it's a tie game. Good game overall, I'm not thrilled about WIS losing but I'm happy the small school got some recognition finally. No real reason not to give John Clay the ball on that play considering he dominated the 4th quarter, but like I said, the WR was wide open and the defender just made a great play on the ball. Missed field goal turned out to be a killer for the Badgers.
If I had to pick only one, I'd rather the Packers win tomorrow than the Badgers winning today so hopefully that works out for me and the rest of the Packer fans.

That game made me remember that the Badgers really aren't that good. The defense really was never any good, and it was exposed in the first half. IDK what the TCU coach started calling in the second half. They should have been able to spread the field and pass it every down on that defense. Tolzien was exposed to be the same QB the Badgers have had starting at the position every year: just a guy. Once they took the running game away Tolzien stunk up the place. John Clay showed more heart than anybody on that team on that final drive.
The thing I did not understand was that 2 pt play call. Now I'm not someone to complain about a call only after it doesn't work. It did work. Kind of. I was yelling at the tv as they lined up WITHOUT JOHN CLAY behind Scott Tolzien and the fullback Ewing in the power-I formation. Can't you trust your All-Universe offensive line to get your 260 lb. running back 3 yards on the most important play in Badger football in 10 years? Unbelievable. Bielema got what he deserved for that inexcusable play call.
All that said congrats to TCU. They really surprised me.
