Would the Clippers would match a significant offer for Novak’s services? That probably depends on what they get back/have to swallow in any deal they make with one of the frontcourt guys. According to sources, negotiations with Memphis will pick up again soon. The Grizzlies still need a scoring big man, and they’re now carrying Quentin Richardson’s $9.35M contract, along with the other superfluous pieces on their roster (Greg Buckner and Marko Jaric, both expiring in 2011). In most cases, a team can’t trade a guy for two months after they acquire him in a deal, but since Memphis is under the cap, they’re exempt from this rule in Richardson’s case.

Hes a 3 playing the 4. He is a shooter, and last time I checked, shooters dont regularely play the 4 spot. Don't get me wrong, but guys like Dirk are natural 3s because of their shooting ability.
 
Dirk is a 4 that can shoot, he is a much better power forward than Rashard Lewis, and would get straight up burned on defense by 3's
 
How the fuck are the Magic going to pay for Nelson, Carter, Shard, Bosh and Howard? Highly doubt this goes down.

It would be purely comical on the defensive end

Dirk playing the 4 gives so many defensive matchup problems that its not even fair
